Great sandwiches and soup! The turkey sandwich was great on the homemade roll. The cranberry chicken salad was amazing and the cheese and broccoli soup as delicious. The Russian was great too. We also enjoyed the thumbprint cookies we got!!
What a great stop! We were traveling through on an 8-day vacation and stopped here for lunch on our first meal of the trip. The prices were great and the quality and quantity was perfect. It was a much better choice than a similar chain...sandwich places. We also did a bakery stop on the way pot and had the same experience -great prices and very courteous service. I wish there was a similar place near me because I would certainly be a regular!More

Have always loved Homer's food! They have the best sandwiches in town!I think most people go there during the lunch hour, so if you're in a hurry beware. It can take a bit of time because the food is made fresh to order.
As a past resident of Clinton I am very familiar with Homers and miss the great food and special sandwiches. You pick and they prepare for you what ever you decide on for your sandwich . Of course their soups are heavenly to. And with...the Sweetheart Bakery right in house separated only by a doorway any sort desert is right there for you to choose. You can also go home with a nice assortment of bake good from the bakery even wonderful homemade breads. Living out of town I called Homer's and they prepared a nice to go basket for a friend who had just lost her hubby. She said it was better than flowers and felt the warmth of my caring and hugs from my 1300 plus miles away. Just be sure your friend is home for that delivery however.. Homer's has been a long time business in the Lyons north district and will continue for many years along with the Sweetheart Bakery as believe they have the same owners.More
Food is always fresh, soups especially good, homemade...the sandwiches made on fresh bread from the bakery next door. The girls behind the counter get the people through the line in a timely manner yet remain friendly and courteous.
