This place is the classic college bar... good food, good service, good drinks. Kinda dark and old but fun.

The Mill is a landmark in Iowa city providing live music and good food. The front part of the Mill is family friendly and the back has a bar like atmosphere and hosts a wide range of musical talents.
I was there as part of a group function, with pizza all around. There's room for mingling for 40-50 people. Service was no more than adequate. The Mill has been known for years, however, for its music.
