We had been here previously with a bad experience. Gave it another try and were pleased. The food was good. The store has expanded and offers some Amish crafts and food along with many gift shop items. Convenient stop from I-35. Venture into town. There...More

This is in the same building as the Amish Country Store/Welcome Center. There was a line to order. The person taking orders seemed to be struggling with the process. Once our order was in we found a booth and waited. They bring the food to...More

Sorry you didn't have a pleasant experience. We do have new employees and had some system issues. All food orders are made to order, so we don't consider our establishment fast food, but a Diner. I appreciate your comments.

I was not impressed by my food or visit to this restaurant. The cashier just stood there and stared until we gave our order. It's your typical seating arrangement of booths and tables, self serve drinks and they bring food to you. Granted my tenders and...More

Okay, first off, if you don't know what a Maid-Rite is then you may not appreciate the appeal. I grew up near Marshalltown, Iowa where one of the original Maid-rite shops is located. And I love them! I had never stopped at this location but...More

I have no idea what "Broaster" Chicken is, but it tastes to me like some of the best fried chicken I have had. We just got home from a road trip and I had this chicken on the way there and again on the way...More

3.5 is the right review number. The place itself, the very fun shop, the grounds and the people were delightful. I so wanted to give this a five star review. But the food was a solid three. Nothing bad, for sure, but nothing to write...More

We had the loose meat sandwich (one with cheese and one without). They were not as tasty as the year before when we'd had them. We realized it was because there were no pickles on them, and the extra vinegar form the pickles is essential...More

We will definitely be going back soon! Not being a big fan of the traditional "loose meat" sandwich, we had not been out to the local Maid Rite for several years. Recently, we met some out of town visitors there for lunch and we were...More

If you like Maid Rights- it's worth the stop. Very good, and the fries were good too. Real thin and served hot. Plus there's an Amish store within the restaurant with a lot of cool things

My son and I stopped here as I saw the signs and wanted some good Amish cooked food. This place is a Made Rite and not any Amish in sight. We ordered the Country Fried Steak dinner. With Green beans and mashed potatos and a...More

I'm sorry you had a disappointing meal. In reviewing the menu, the chicken fried steak doesn't include a biscuit...the chicken dinners do. This may be why the server was confused. I looked at your picture and it was a picture of the chicken dinner menu.....More
