We have been here numerous times, but haven't stopped in since last summer. Both my husband and I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo as it is our favorite dish there. It was very disappointing. There wasn't even a hint of heat. There were 4 shrimp in each dish, and our son had more pasta in his kids spaghetti then we... More

A testament to this restaurant is how long they have been in business. In an environment where restaurants seemingly change owners, themes or simply close, the Brown Vottle has been around forever and if they have changed owners it does not show one Iota. Classic Italian fare in a very basic atmosphere with great wines and desserts. Reasonably priced and... More

Love the service Tony gives! Good food and wine selection. Good option in North Liberty if you are looking for a nice meal and a cozy atmosphere.

Gluten free penne with marinara was undercooked and flavorless. Sent it back to have it cooked longer and it was still undercooked. Salads very basic, everything is overpriced. Blinds visibility dirty, won't be returning.

I've been coming here for years. It's a nice middle of the road Italian place. Food is good, service is good. Tonight I had the chicken marsala. Another good dish is the honey dijon chicken. They have a full bar and decent wines. Give it a try.

My wife and I had previously denied at the Brown Bottle but at the downtown, Iowa City location, which closed a few months back. The North Liberty location, however, is a nice change. While the Iowa City location featured an open view of the downtown area it was a little cramped inside, while the North Liberty location has more of... More

Great food, especially the lasagna. Atmosphere is reminiscent of a supper club. This would be a great date place!

First time to this location. Used to go to the Iowa City location when we were in town but since it closed thought we would try here. Food was delicious. The salads that came with the meal were nice and fresh. Service was perfect. Server checked back several times. They have outdoor seating but we sat inside. Will be stopping... More

Brown Bottle is a lovely restaurant with a serene atmosphere. If you're in the mood for a little Italian, this is one of my favorite spots to dine.

Tonight was the most disappointing performance I have ever seen at The Brown Bottle. I ordered two roast beef sandwiches, chips and salads to go. I waited over 35 minutes for my order and paid $40 for my meal. When I got home, I found that they had placed sliced tomatoes and a pickle spear in the same container with... More
