We went to listen to a local band and grab a bite to eat. The Swamp Fries appetizer sounds strange but trust me, they were perfect, shared with a few drinks. Love the architecture of this building, raw brick walls and lost of character. Though we didn't order off the menu, it looked pretty good too.

We were traveling and heard about the Fainting goat. We decided to go check it out. The building was an old canning factory and full of character. The food is out of this world! The chef puts a unique twist on the favorites. We had pork tenderloin sandwich. Our was so big we had to take over half of it... More

We had stayed away from the Fainting Goat since we'd had disappointing meal experiences twice in a row. However, some friends invited us out for dinner recently and assured us the food was much improved under new ownership. The menu was all new and the food was excellent. Would have rated it a five, but the service was a little... More

When the four of us arrived there was only one other family there. We waited over half an hour for our order and had to track down the waitress for drink refills. When we asked how much longer on our order we were told just a few minutes. It was obvious that they had forgotten it. My salad was unimaginative... More

Five of us had lunch here on a weekday and it was awesome. We had expected a college town bar with very basic food but we got a comfy roomy table in a big airy space (there'is another cozier booth room with a truly interesting and original menu for very reasonable prices. I had the carne torta which as a... More

The Goat has some amazing food and local brews. Two friends and I hit the lunch hour. I told them about the new management and new menu items so we walked over. The meals were excellent and staff exceptional. They are still working out "kinks" but I have no worries the business will be a cornerstone restaurant for Waverly.

Stopped for lunch on our cemetery flower delivery route. Our 1st visit was worth the stop. Under new management with farm to fork concept so food was fresh and local. Owner waited on us and explained the smaller menu because of Wartburg College weekend track event. Will stop back when full menu is available. Shared tenderloin with homemade potato salad... More

I have eaten here a handful of times over the last few years. Went last week, late on Friday evening. The food ordered at my table was two sandwiches; the Twisted Cuban (served on french loaf, not pressed) and the Smoked Sausage (served on french load) with side of really tasty, spicy bbq sauce. We shared three sides; the twisted... More

My husband and I used to frequent this establishment often...but recently under new management and with a new menu...we decided to see what was new and if it changed....OMGoodness....it is awful. We used to LOVE the chicken wings...and again - we ordered them....but they were tough and raw around the bone...and they have taken away many of the "good old... More

From 8 to 80, from the top of the food chain, to the bottom of the barrel, The Fainting Goat has something for everyone. Not so fine dining and we like it that way. Burgers, chicken wings, steaks and salads. All made fresh with loving goat hands. The Original Fainting Goat Restaurant...A nearly perfect place in a nearly perfect town. Liquor, wine, premium and domestic beers. Open 7 days a weeks! Kids welcome!
