If you want a real feel of what quality Welsh cuisine and welcome can be, this is the place to go. We have been many times, often with our dogs, and are never disappointed. Tonight was no exception, with quality produce which really stood out....More

Went to the Black Lion for the first time on a cool, midweek, October evening. Expectations were high having read some excellent reviews. We'd also read the menu on the website and there were many dishes which would have been to our liking. I noted...More

The black lion never disappoints. Sublime Sunday dinner, good wine list and doggie treats as well. Without doubt our go to Anglesey Sunday dinner. Thank you to Mari and the team.

Dined her the other night on my own and what a nice meal it was from start to finish the gentleman behind the bar and taking the orders was fantastic. I will be back next time I visit the area!

We stopped for a mid week lunch when the restaurant was very quiet. We received a friendly welcome and had a choice of tables. The food was served efficiently, was well cooked and presented and very tasty. We look forward to returning.

Very old 18th century exterior with 21st century decor inside. Fantastic food and service. Main and desert with a couple of drinks each was approx £65 so not cheap but very good quality.
