We eat here every trip to Emporia...worth skipping an included hotel breakfast for. Bacon is better than their sausage. Coffee is good but seriously after they pour the second cup they do not bring you another (happens every visit). You can wave your cup, push it to the very edge of the table, knock it off the table, try to... More

Really great food, good prices, large portions. The service is a little slow, but everything is cooked fresh. I'd go there again and again.

I've patronized the Commercial Street Diner for several years now (each time I visit family in Emporia), and though breakfast is the only meal I've tried there, I can attest to how great it is! I've had many different items for breakfast here, but their sausage gravy is undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. Everything thing I've ever eaten... More

Read good reviews of this cafe, spent a few minutes trying to find it. When we got there the "open" sign was on and the door was unlocked, but when we stepped in we were told that they had been closed for an hour. Before you decide to eat here, make sure you check their hours.

A great little dinner just off Highway 50. Great service from friendly wait staff. I had the hungry Farmer. Biscuits topped with two sausage patties covered in thick sausage gravy. Served with Hash Browns. Good and crispy. Not hash grays you can get at some places. Every meal I saw delivered looked delicious and plentiful. Only downside is they close... More

Here's your diner you've been looking for. Breakfast is great. You may have to wait depending on the day but it's worth it.

We hit them on a very busy weekend and morning, but the staff was still very friendly and the food was great. We left stuffed. The staff worked their tails off, never slowing down. They kept the patrons moving through amongst a bit of a chaotic morning. Excellent Diner.

We have gone to this restaurant many times; generally, for breakfast. They have just about anything you could want to start the day. The portions are ample, and you can get half-portions if you wish. They have a large menu selection for either meal. This is not a large place, but if you're patient, you won't be disappointed.

Stopped in for breakfast the morning after the Lunar Kanza. Was pretty hungry, but not hungry enough for all the food! Ordered a couple pancakes with eggs and pit ham. The pancakes were dinner plate size, way more than I could put away. My girlfriend had the biscuits and gravy which are also enormous. The chunky sausage gravy is great... More

Great staff and great food! Everything is large portions and the price is cheap. I love this place and our family comes to cost and eat here while visiting Emporia. We love the hometown feeling and the people!😊👍
