Just passing through and wanted something other than fast food chain rubbish. Will be stopping here next time in the future.

I like to eat where the locals go, and I'm one, so take it from me: if you're in Newton and want breakfast, there are three typical choices: Mojo's for those that want a coffee shop, Druber's for those that want a donut shop, and CJ's for those that want pancakes or biscuits or eggs. (I used to have Newell's... More

Service is adequate and food is always good. Reasonably priced. Not fancy and you're not paying for the ambience, but the gentleman that we use for our personal pest control does their pest control and he says that although you wouldn't suspect its just by looking, they have the cleanest kitchen of any of the restaurants in Newton.

Don't just go for pancakes! Yes, the breakfast was good with large portions, but many people were eating diner specials that looked like they came from Grandma's kitchen. This is a small diner close to I-35 that is usually packed. Now I know why. Reasonable prices and good food with generous portions!

The place was hopping on a Saturday morning. The waitresses were really hustling but they seemed to know what they were doing and in spite of the busyness the service was first-rate. My omelet was served in no time and the toast still warm ( appreciated) The omelet was about as greasy as an omelet can get but otherwise nicely... More

The breakfasts are especially good but burgers are also great. Always have good lunch and dinner specials. Just a good old local owned family diner.

Stopped by for a quick bit to eat on the way home. This is a highway diner. If you are looking for a fancy place you will be disappointed. But if you want good food, friendly service and reasonable prices this is the place. Breakfast all day or a lunch and dinner menu. Just off the interstate give it a try.

Just east of I-135 on 1st street (south side of street), this little family-owned restaurant serves great food, at a good price. I like the fact that you can order breakfast food anytime. My favorite is the chicken-fried steak and eggs breakfast for dinner. Along with it comes hash browns and either pancakes, toast, or biscuit. A real nice break... More
