My boyfriend and I went to The Rickhouse for dinner in mid-December. We were staying in Bardstown during a quick trip of distillery tours. Our server was friendly, relatable and very knowledgeable of food items on the menu as well as the vast bourbon selection. We had a flight of five bourbons to taste which is highly recommended. For dinner... More

Stopped in for late dinner and ate at the bar. Really warm and inviting atmosphere. Comfortable seating. Chicken Crepes, steak, asparagus and scalloped potatoes all excellent. Very reasonable wine by the glass list and generous pour. Extensive bourbon offerings. Met the owners by chance and had really great conversation with them. ( And some good laughs.) Would recommend highly if... More

O.K., it's a little hard to find, but once you locate it, it's worth the trouble. The service was great and we never needed anything. The crab cakes for an appetizer were amazing. So yummy. The old fashion drink I ordered was really good. We both had steak for our main course. Mine was perfect! I had the 12oz Ribeye... More

Two of us had meat (rib-eye and filet), which was flavorful and tender. The mushroom ravioli was amazing. The place is pricey, but worth it.

Went for dinner and was very disappointed. Service was slow and meals were very average. We were seated and waited over 10 minutes for anyone to come to the table. Brought menus but no wine list. When asked for one we were given just the insert from the normal menu holder. Server never came back so went to the bar... More

If you enjoy your Bourbon, don't sit in the dining room. Go to the Bar, grab a stool and dive in. Friendly atmosphere, outstanding selection, reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff. Plus you can eat dinner at the bar. Their food is excellent.

This restrurant has great food with an unusual twist. Many of the dishes are common favorites but they are prepared with a different and quite delicious flavor! The setting is somewhat offbeat but still cozy and romantic. The bourbon barrels common to the decor tied into the region well since it is in the heart of bourbon country! Would highly... More

We went on a Saturday night, we had reservations. We waited a bit to be seated but that was not a problem. The food was just ok. No homemade salad dressings. Two had the salmon -it was served with a dried out couscous. I also had he green beans, they were mushy. Two had steaks they seemed to enjoy. One... More

This is an upscale romantic place for dinner and a cocktail! The steaks are great and George (in the bar) can mix you up a perfect drink.

Finding the place is a little hard, but so worth it. Not very well lit outside to see the sign going into the place. However, it's underneath Spalding Hall. We had a big group and I ordered the Blueberry Salmon. OH,MY.... Was I so glad I did.... it was wonderful!!! I'm always nervous when ordering salmon, but man this was... More
