Stopped in here for lunch last weekend. We had not been there in a very long time. It has been remodeled since we were here last. Still great service and food. Very friendly staff, easy parking and so on. Real good eats. Will return the...next time we are in the area. We had lunch but Im sure that their Breakfast is probably really good.More

I don't get back to my old stomping grounds very often, but when I do I love going to the Campton Dairy Queen. It isn't like "regular" fast food. The items offered are usually down home cooking and so I got the sausage biscuits because...they really are the best (I would have gotten the gravy but I'm counting calories....still, I wish I had done it). I totally recommend this restaurant.More

Any morning or noon service at the drive through is pleasant and efficient. However purchases after 4 pm are slow, often wrong and staff is rude.

My wife and I stopped for Breakfast. This is one of the things DQ does best. I would give it a five except I could not make the cashier understand that I would be ordering a soda later, when we continued our trip. She insisted...on ringing it up with breakfast and giving me a paper cup immediately. Not a big deal, just showed she wasn't paying attention. Also, we order two "Country Platter" meals, and they did not come with DQ's famous sausage gravy. I had to go back and place that order. If you're from the South, "Country Breakfast" means gravy!More

I will always visit DQ in the USA for the soft serve ice cream. It is truly wonderful. The servers don't understand my British accent and we had a bit of miscommunication, but it worked out OK in the end!

We normally pass through Campton in the late evening, but today was at lunch. The employees were obviously not the usual high school students, but I don't know if that has any impact on the quality, or lack of it. My wife and I ordered...cheeseburgers, with everything, and a Butterfinger Blizzard. We were told that they were out of Butterfinger, so we asked for a butterscotch shake. We paid and left (Drive-thru. When will I learn??). As we ate the burgers, both of us commented on how dry they were, especially considering they had tomato, lettuce and pickles. We opened the buns to find a small dollop of ketchup. Apparently, they were also out of mayo and mustard. When my wife tasted the shake, she said it was "gritty." I agreed. In the clear cup, it appeared to have flakes of an orange-colored greasy substance floating in it, as if someone had pulverized a Lava soap bar. It was undrinkable and we had to throw it out. I wish that I had taken a picture of it for this review, but did not.More

This DQ used to be our stop-off point between home and the Bluegrass. But the last time we were there, my wife and I both ordered different hamburgers, and both were so dry that we could hardly eat them. My wife opened hers and found...about a nickel-sized dollop of ketchup. No mayo, no mustard. She, being the eternal optimist, remarked, " At least they won't drip on us."More

This place does very well considering they give so many young folks an oppertunity to work. A shot out to Ariel one of the latest kids to start out there. I like the hot gravy that comes with the tenders.

For several years my family have stopped at the Dairy Queen in Campton, Ky on our way to Lexington. They always made the best blizzards. This evening we stopped and I ordered a Georgia mud fudge blizzard with extra chocolate because they don’t have chocolate...ice cream anymore and it hasn’t had enough chocolate in it the last few times before. When I received my blizzard it looked like s peanut butter milkshake. Not chocolate and no fudge pieces in it and maybe 10 nuts and not thick like a blizzard. I gave it back thinking my order was wrong. I think it was the supervisor who came and gave it back to me. I was going to get my money back but my son was driving and pulled out before I could say anything. I am going to call and complain. My family will not be stopping there again. The management must have changed.More

They don't carry chocolate soft-serve here because they allegedly "don't sell enough of it." I can understand that, but I'll take my business elsewhere in the future. Store was clean but service was dreadfully slow...even though they weren't at all busy and appeared to be...adequately staffed. Not one of DQ's better locations, based on my experience.More
