My friend and I just happened upon this place but the beautiful dining area on the street spoke volumes and that's where we sat and it was glorious. We poked through the interior a a bit and it was amazing. A house converted, tastefully, with intimate 4 or 5 or so table rooms in this old house. There is an... More

I found Wertheim's to be like so many family run German places back in the old country. Solid food and beer. Lovely waitress. Young son helping to seat people. Tasty hot cabbage. Great old house in lovely block.

Delicious German food choices. A charming atmosphere in an interesting part of town. Friendly staff. Found it by accident and glad we did.

I ordered the Jaeger Schnitzel and my husband ordered the Weiner Schnitzel. Neither one of us even finished half of our meal. There was no flavor. Not warm enough. Tasted like something pre made and frozen. Dry. We went to a little store in the area after our dinner and was telling them about our experience. Someone turned around and... More

My wife and I have been coming here for over 20 years off and on but haven't in the last year or so. So many great dates and memories but sadly, this is a shell of what it use to be. The best thing is the hot slaw and the wurst. Beyond that, forget it. The sauerkraut taste like it's... More

I purchased a Groupon for Wertheim's. We were already in the area to see a play at The Carnegie and added dinner to our evening. The old house has character and much potential, although the exterior could use a little bit of work. We walked in and there was no one...not a single person in sight. Within 30 seconds a... More

Had lunch with 2 friends on a quiet Sunday afternoon. We were the only one's there, but we had a good lunch. The sampler was great: potato pancake and sauerkraut balls were very good. Homemade mustard was very good. We had Goetta burgers and a Ruben - simple, very cheap, but good. Only complaint was the tap beer was room... More

We were one of the only people to come in to the restaurant during a bustling wine festival in Mainstrasse. That should have been our clue- other restaurants in the area had a 2 hour wait, but no one was in Wertheim's. There is so much potential for an authentic, good German restaurant in the area, but this felt so... More

Twenty-five years ago my husband and I had a bad meal here. Well today we went to Covington Oktoberfest and said "let's give it another try" come on, 25 years to improve or go out of business. Well the food is still really bad. I can not say one good thing about the food or the wait staff. Do not... More

Well, staying in Covington during a biz trip, I wandered around in the evenings and found this interesting-looking restaurant. I convinced my colleagues to for dinner there. They are still reproaching me this. We ordered beer, one was rotten. We had to change it. Then we ordered Zigeunerschnitzel, but what we were served had absolutely nothing to do with German... More
