My second lunchtime visit to The Wheatsheaf in a couple of months; once again provided with very pleasant food and service. I chose sticky chilli beef followed by the lamb burger; both were excellent. The pub was quiet but had a good chat with the very nice young lady who provided the service.

Really tasty risotto. Yummy seabass and huge yorkie with the beef roast! I recommend and will come again.

We contacted them ahead of time to ask for vegan options for a couple of us in a large group. Was told no problem -win! Managed to find a vegan wine in the menu - win! Atmosphere was great - win! Food came out - average to poor but they had made us something off menu so that's ok. Desert... More

We've eaten here many many times and are not usually disappointed but as one other reviewer commented, the pub is up for sale and boy can you tell! It started with a late afternoon phone call on the day to say their card machine was not working and could only take cash! Very inconvenient as it meant a special trip... More

My wife and I visited over the weekend, and decided to opt for the A La carte menu. Service was very good, attentive but not overbearing. The food was excellent, well presented, tasty and good sized portions.....and reasonably priced. In truth we honestly could find any faults, and we are picky. Our biggest compliment is that we will be back very... More

Well what a change since my last visit. Credit card machine not working, limited menu and few diners. 9 of us sat down to eat in virtually splendid isolation, the menus arrive and what a disapointment, gone was the gastro dining I experienced at my last visit, insted there was very basic pub grub fish and chips being the most... Wonderful service. Beautifully cooked food. I would recommend the fish pie. Plenty of people eating (which is always a good recommendation!) Background music playing but it wasn't so loud to drown out conversation. A lovely night out x

We both had roast for lunch. Both beef and pork were excellent, tender and tasty. Veg very good and the roast potatoes were amanst the... More

I visited with my family for early evening meal. Children had chicken nuggets which were superb. Nothing like take away rubbish. The triple cooked chips were delicious. My wife had battered fish & chips my Daughter had ham egg and chips and my son in law had the fish cakes. All these were tasty and beautifully cooked. Now we come... More

A great evening and enjoyable atmosphere with tasty food. Would return. Great gluten free selection and menu which was done separately. My only comment to improve things would be better quality gluten free bread. There are better brands of gf bread now ailable. But a small point. Friendly staff and great good and atmosphere. All our group enjoyed it. Thanks... More

The Wheatsheaf at Titchmarsh is a modern village pub that serves high quality fresh local produce with open wood burning fires in the winter and a great heated alfresco dinning area in the summer . We always have a great selection of well kept ales and a popular selection of wine available to.
