We are newly local and for the first time we were organised enough to book a table (it's a must - it's always fully booked!). We had the most phenomenal lunch - one of the best in Suffolk so far. The maître D was exceptionally well informed about the menu, style of cooking and really should be on the marks... More

6 of us had a very enjoyable birthday lunch in the restaurant for our 94 yr old mother . It is very expensive but the venue is delightful and the food very good, their own wines are excellent but pricey.

My husband and I go every Saturday morning for eggs Benedict and scones. The service is excellent with a very friendly staff and the food is outstanding.

We had a meal for four here to celebrate 2 birthday's. The food was very good, the service good,a bottle of their own produced wine was good and overall it was a good evening. on the downside it was an expensive experience with the bill coming to over £200. I feel that although everything was good this was quite a... More

Eleven of us went to celebrate our friends 50th birthday and I was not expecting such a great experience. We had a veriety of different plates and we all agreed the food was exceptional. But the waitress who looked after us talked about the food with such passion and knowledge really turned it into an unforgettable evening

The food was good. Well cooked and well presented. Setting is great and the barn was warm. Very popular at lunch with most of the tables occupied. Biggest criticism was the serving staff. We didn't have to wait long between courses but felt the attitude of staff was rather negative. Waitresses were brusque and rather unfriendly throughout. Barely a smile... More

First, the huge barn which houses both the restaurant (where we ate) and the 'sister' bistro is magnificent. The atmosphere is... relaxed sophistication and the serving staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant menu is not huge but offers a range of interesting/creative dishes. All three in our group chose the turbot on kohlrabi with tarragon and vanilla(?). The piece... More

Went here with my wife and sister in law, what a fantastic little gem this restaurant is. We has a 3 course dinner and the food, service and value was excellent. I had the Ham pate as a starter followed by rump of Lamb (which melted in the mouth) and my dessert was a lovely peanut butter parfait, banana and... More

It was my first time at the Leaping Hare and I will most certainly be returning as quickly as possible. The beautiful barn was all decorated for Christmas and looked really beautiful. The service was very good and the food was truly excellent. I was with three other people and we all had something different. Everybody was very happy with... More
