It was my first time at the Leaping Hare and I will most certainly be returning as quickly as possible. The beautiful barn was all decorated for Christmas and looked really beautiful. The service was very good and the food was truly excellent. I was with three other people and we all had something different. Everybody was very happy with... More

As a surprise took my business manager and dear friend Michelle to Leaping Hare, along with american mike, we had a lovely car & driver from Atlas Executive Travel, glorious weather, all the way to the great venue. What a fabulous place one of my late mothers favourites, It looked great, the service was top class, swift, courteous, unobtrusive, just... More

I have been eating here and visiting the shop for more than twenty years. I have seen many changes over those years and a big expansion from the early days. Even though I no longer live in Suffolk I still return regularly and a few days ago my husband and I and two friends went there for a special celebration... More

We were there with friends in the evening. Reasonably good service, fantastic food, all in a lovely old barn with a great atmosphere. This is one of the best places I have been to recently. The only drawback is that the expression "in the middle of nowhere" is barely adequate to describe where the place is! Lots of twisting country... More

It's not an insignificant diversion to take in The Leaping Hare en-route back down the A11 from Norwich but it's a diversion we always make (it's actually a shorter distance according to Google although it'll add to the journey time) because it's absolutely worth it. My mother-in-law discovered The Leaping Hare 15+ years ago; we've been going ever since and... More

This was a family gathering: on a Sunday lunch time. No Sunday menu, all á la Carte. Food was presented in a pleasing way. Spot on portion sizes...just right. And it's great they use their own produce or very locally sourced within a few miles. Pink and tender lamb; the same said for the venison dish. Chicken, a lovely flavour... More

We arrived at 12 noon to find the café section of the beautifully converted barn still buzzing with people finishing their coffee and cakes (or maybe they were still lingering over breakfast). So we added our name to the waiting list for lunch and took a stroll around the adjoining shop, where we all succumbed to temptation ... books, gardening... More

The food was excellent. Everything else was a little "Acorn Antiques". The wine menu was poor (Yes, I realise they're trying to upsell their own produce. But not at the expense of a good food/wine balance.) Service standards were basic, at best. Staff not knowing what ingredients are actually on the plate. No top ups. Invisible staff. Other reviews refer... More

Enter the restored barn that is the Leaping Hare and to your left if the fine dining tables. A great lunch awaits you. And i do mean very good indeed. Turn right and the friendly bistro end offers great coffee and any kind of indulgent breakfast. On a Saturday you can visit the farmers market then go for great coffee... More
