We haven't been here for a while, so this was a nice opportunity to visit again and catch up on the restaurant. Lobster HP are a must - crisp and light, with amazing sauce and the OMG candied jalapenos. I went for the fish special, Cod - done just perfectly. My husband went back to his favorite lamb chops, still... More

I have eaten in 5 star restaurants around the world and this is one of the best experiences I have had. I loved the multi tiered portion menu. There were four in our group. Some ordered one normal sized dish but I tried six small plates. Best food ever. The chef came out and greeted our group. It was such... More

Wonderful quaint dining experience in Louisville. Dishes are very nice visually and tasty even though on the small as far as portion size. Peaceful atmosphere.

Nice small plates. Each one like an individual piece of art. Service is very slow as they create each plate to order

Amazingly executed classic French-influenced cuisine, with a fresh, modern array of menu items. Everything on their daily menu looked wonderful, and our server also listed off an impressive sounding list of daily specials, including 2 soups & a lardo-wrapped rabbit dish. There were so many enticing things on the menu we didn't get to try the specials, but will definitely... More

My first and last visit here. Didn't like method of ordering, very confusing. Ordered scallops, they were burned, tasted terrible. Cheese platter unbelievably scant. I ask for more "bread" was given a basket of black, burned flat broken pieces of "bread"?? When I complained to server why were we given this awful mess, he said "well that's why it's "... More

My second time there and it did not disappoint. The menu has been revised a little since the last visit but it is still all good. For an appetizer we got the salmon. By itself it was pretty good but once mixed with the honeycomb and squid ink, the flavor popped. Our waiter suggested the ribeye and he was not... More

We came here during Derby week. The place was packed, but we got seated within 5 minutes (had a reservation). The food was excellent and the server was friendly and humorous. The best part is that this restaurant does not do the price gouging prix-fixe like some of their other fine dining competitors during Derby Week.

Had a great evening out with the wife at Bistro 1860. Being a local chef here in the city! I appreciate good quality fine dining and this establishment is always top notch. The service was very friendly, professional, and the staff were knowledgable of the menu. A welcoming greeting to my wife and I. Also, the chef does such a... More

My wife and I eat out a lot and, even though we always love to try new places, we always make sure to have some favorites that never miss. Whenever we want to go out, but can't decide where to go, we both land on 1860. We love the comfy bar stools and great service at the bar. The wine... More
