They had a tent outside with many happy revelers. I saw some fish and chips go by that looked delicious, but we were enjoying the live Irish band. Met a real Irishman named Conor and his wife Bronwen and their darling g daughter Aiofa. Fun place to be on St. Patrick's Day.

Walked in on a Friday afternoon. I had boxty, a lucious potato cake, and my daughter had smoked salmon dip for appetizers. You will not believe how good salmon dip on a brown bread can be. Had Guinness beef stew which was as good as that I ate on the Arran isles in Ireland itself. The place filled in fifteen... More

Our original server was very good, however, her shift was coming to a close and she had to leave. Our new server took the orders then was not seen again until the food arrived. During that time one of our group had to go grab the water pitcher and bring it back to the table. She also had to get... More

Loved the Irish Stew, best I have ever had. Good rich gravy and tender pieces of beef. I will go back for it. A friend had Cottage Pie which was the Irish stew in a bread bowl and mashed potatoes on top. They have many of the traditional Irish dishes with a great selection of Irish Whiskey and many good... If your a fan of Irish beer and great food then this place is a must visit. Great menu and awesome food at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is great from the bar to the dining room and outdoor seating. Parking can be a issue in that area depending on when u go

To have a great Saturday you need to get up at a reasonable hour. Then at around 11:00 a.m. get yourself (and friends or family) over to the Irish Rover for their Traditional Irish Breakfast. Having been to Ireland I can tell you that the traditional breakfast you get at the Irish Rover is authentic, except for the lack of... More

We finally got around to trying the Irish Rover. The food was good and so was the service. I think I'd go back more for the bar and beers on tap. It has a lot of character.

We were in Louisville to visit with family and since it was 17 degrees outside we decided on a lunch place that served comfort food. This place had that and more, my wife had Cottage Pie which is beef stew in a bread bowl capped with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese. It looked and tasted delicious and was way more... More

Stopped in on New Years Eve for dinner. The Scotch Egg appetizer was very good as was the blue cheese app. Fish and Chips and salad entree were very good also. The server was friendly and engaging and the owner always makes the rounds to see that everything is going well. Always enjoy our visits to the Irish Rover.

We have found one of our favorite places now! Food was delicious, service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. It is Locally owned, the owners were in there enjoying some food as well, and nothing was disappointing. We were in town for the weekend and would love to make a trip back to eat here. Best food we have... More
