Was there for a business dinner and it was overall an odd experience . Dated decor with random LSU flags here and there. One of the appetizers was fried corn dogs on sticks. But yet my entree - Fish Katia I think it was called was nearly $30.00 but it was not good - from the presentation to the fish... More

Went out in Monday wanting some veal. Thought of Ruffino's. Did not have reservations and they were crowded. Only had to wait about 10 minutes. Food was excellent as always. Portion size is good and the wait staff is always very attentive. I would get reservations just to make sure you get in.

We enjoyed our dinner experience. On this occasion, my two 40+ children and their spouses joined me to celebrate their birthdays, sans grandchildren. For our appetizers, we enjoyed the seafood arancini and the crabmeat cheesecake. Entree selections included the Veal Micheal, the Cedar Planked Redfish, Filet Imperial, and the Veal Palermo (even though it was a not on the "busy... More

Took my Mother-in-Law here for her 89th birthday. Very disappointed. We sat at a table in a corner where the servers can only get to about half of the table. They have to reach over some to get to those in the corner. The lasagna came out cold. Not all of the meals were served at the same time. The... More

My wife and I started with appetizers... the BBQ shrimp and the shrimp corn dogs. Both were very good but, unfortunately, were the highlight of the meal. My wife ordered the 8 oz filet and I ordered veal parmesan. Her steak, though tender, was pretty much tasteless and my veal parmesan seemed like a lump of meat covered with cheese... More

Our family celebrates a number of birthdays and anniversaries in October so we decided to go visit our daughter who attends LSU and go to Ruffino's. Our reservation for 8 was for 1:00 and upon arrival we were seated. The wait staff was very good and attentive. At 1:00 they were still serving brunch. I had reviewed the main menu... More

The menu was unremarkable. Our group had spaghetti and meatballs, crab stuffed shrimp, shrimp corn dogs, chicken Parmesan... A wide variety of items. Every single one was just so so. There are so many great places to eat in Baton Rouge ... We won't go back here.

You don't have to wear coat and tie here, but dressy casual is appropriate. Make sure you have reservations, because the place is almost always very busy. For this occasion, 3 couples went there for dinner. There was a very nice wine selection, and our waiter recommended an appetizer called corn dog shrimp. Each large shrimp is skewered like a... I Love To Dine In Or Sometimes Just Order Pickup. I Highly Recommend Their Lasagna, Sensation Salad And The Veal Palermo. I Most Always Find One Entree Is Enough For Two People. The Atmosphere Is Low Light And The Wait-Staff Is Wondeful.

I love their food. Never had a bad meal. Lots of food, great steak, pasta, etc. can be a bit noisy. Big LSU hangout for games. I have taken family here for years.
