Just delicious poboys. Do not leave Baton Rouge without stopping by this restaurant. From fried oyster to fried chicken, all of their poboys are great. My entire family left happy, which hardly ever happens when we go out. Stop reading this and get in the car now!

OMG, the seafood gumbo is delicious! It definitely is a Cajun gumbo. Reminds me of my moms home cooking.

Great food and friendly staff. We had fried shrimp basket with seafood gumbo. The gumbo came with a side of rice. The reading was very good and not greasy. We also had catfish. They were generous with the pieces. Enjoyed the visit.

Dempsey's was recommended by several locals for the shrimp po' boy. The shrimp and crawfish po' boy sandwiches were fantastic! Thankfully they sell 1/2 sandwiches so I could try both. Great red beans and rice to boot!

To the point. The gumbo is first rate and all the sandwiches and salads are on point. You won't be disappointed dining here.

I visited yesterday. 01/03/2017, for lunch. I was sort of in a hurry, so I just ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a coke. The bun was so hard on the burger I could barely cut it in half. And the fries were just okay. They may have been closed the day before as a lot of other businesses were the... More

The daily special of jambalaya and fried catfish was really good and enough for two people to share. They have different specials during the week. Service was very good too.

One of the best Poboy places in Baton Rouge!! Great food good family atmosphere and nice people!! Parking a problem and the place is too small and is usually crowded so be ready to wait !! It is worth it!!

I very much enjoyed lunch there! I chose their #1 best seller listed under specialties of the house: cup & a half. This consisted of a cup of any soup plus a half po-boy for $10.99. My selection was chicken/andouille gumbo w/ a fried shrimp half po-boy. When the food arrived, I was amazed that the "cup" of gumbo was... More
