I have been a devoted fan of this amazing eatery in the small vintage Cajun town of Breaux Bridge, LA. I was nearly a regular at the place when it was called Mulattes, where I first heard a great Cajun band from Raine, LA, featuring Lee Benoit on lead vocals and accordion and Mark Hebert on fiddle and Lee's wife... My family and I had excellent cajun food including crawfish and diffrent types of fish. Very nice atmosphere. The Hay Cormier Cajun Band was playing that night.

Enjoyed the cajun ambiance the most! Rustic setting with dance floor in the middle and a live band. Loved seeing dancers from toddlers to seniors.

Fun Cajun music, but alas, no dancing when we were there. The place itself is sizable and drafty, probably because it mostly seems to be tour-group-oriented. Most things on the menu seem to be fried and/or pre-made. Had a very watered-down gumbo. Rushed and abrupt service since servers were busy attending to big tour groups. I'm guessing/hoping there are better... More

We went eat there on Saturday night and it was so much fun! I ate crawfish that was so good and spicy. Our kids joined the locals on the dance floor for some Cajun 2-stepping. Good experience.

Yes, this is a restaurant and we have eaten there but this trip we went after dinner for the music. It is so much fun to see so many musicians who so enjoy playing. Seemed like everyone in the house were musicians....we were unable to determine who the band really was......every several songs there would be a different person playing... More

My wife and I love this place. Do not expect a great gastronomic experience, the food is what it is in the region, hearty, mostly fried, though you will of course enjoy the ubiquitous local crayfish, catfish, etc. The atmosphere is unique, with the low ceiling, the painted murals, and the very welcoming staff. Make sure you come when a... More

THe food is authentic as you can get for the region. The boudin balls are really crab crakes with rice and they are delicious. The music was cajun and the band was excellent - a father, wife, son and daughter. You don't see that very often! Recommended!

We stopped here for lunch headed home from New Orleans. I got the fried fish, a side of seafood gumbo and the dessert brownie with ice cream. The fish was very flimsy and the breading soggy, then the brownie was burnt! The best part of everything was the French fries. And our waitress, Meagan, was super sweet. Maybe it's better... More

You order a bowl of "Chicken & Sausage Gumbo" for $12.99 and get a soup plate of it instead. The price for this small quantity of an ordinary soup is much too high, Furthermore the soup was much too spicy compared with all the other gumbos I ater so far. Music and atmosphere are o.k. for people who like this... More
