Good lunch, shrimp po'boy red beans and rice and hush puppies. I will be back. A busy place with reasonable prices.

I have been here twice, visits were about a year and a half apart, so I know it wasn't a coincidence. Both times we have been here were nothing short of amazing. The place isn't much to look at, and it's very small inside, but the food is what has made this place so popular. Be adventurous and try the... More

The Boudin Shop, also known to locals as "Chicken on the Bayou", is a small cafe' right off the interstate. It's constantly crowded, but worth the wait!! Their food is delicious, and their prices are reasonable. It's a good place for tourists and locals alike.

If you're looking to experience down home Cajun cooking you have to try this place. The crawfish boudin is delicious and you won't find a better poboy anywhere. And the gumbo is some of the best I've found in Louisiana.

After seeing a feature on Travel Channel re. Cajun/Creole food in Lafayette area, we decided to try this place while in the area. Nothing fancy, but friendly service in an authentic setting. About six tables for dine in purposes. I had the Seafood Gumbo and Pork Boudin Balls, my wife had the smothered Crawfish Etouffee. An explosion of taste with... More

This place is less than 5 minutes from Cajun Palms RV and right next to the famous Landry's Seafood. Just take off your snooty glasses and walk in in and order. Yeah, it's tiny, not many tables, not fast food but OMG!!!!! My husband and I got the large fried catfish platter with fries to go. 7 large pieces of... More

I don't need fancy, I need authentic, yummy food. I don't care if it takes 20 minutes to get a portion of red beans and rice, I have plenty to watch and admire. I found this place by accident driving across I-10 from Houston to New Orleans. I wanted good food not fast food. I spotted the shop next to... More

A small restaurant / grocery shop. We called in on our road trip for some “local flavour”. Inside it’s just one room. A food counter at one end, a few tables in the middle and upright freezers lining the walls near the counter and other souvenir type merchandise lining another wall. It was very busy when we visited, and after... More

A hole in the wall type place that has great food, very friendly and very good service. They have great Boudin poboys and you can get frozen Boudin to take home.
