Dropped by acme oyster house for lunch with my wife. Service was great, food was good. Would recommend it anyone who wants a good meal in a nice place with great service. Our waitress Patti is a gem.

I had a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo to start the meal. It was the smallest 'bowl' of gumbo I've ever been served and was an insult to my appetite. It looked wrong from the start too. I think it was prepared with cornstarch. Decent flavor but poor consistency. The server never provided a napkin or utensils. Good thing... More

This is my place for oysters on the half shell with plenty of lemon, cocktail sauce and an ice cold beer. Period. Any Acme will do also.

We thought the gumbo was exceptionally good, the two rice dishes were only so-so. Service was quick and pleasant. The pecan cobbler (really a pecan sundae) was excellent.

Love this place. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Awesome food. Grilled oysters are very good. Try the NEW ORLEANS MEDLEY you get a sampling of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans & rice and grilled smoked sausage. It is a good sized meal but you get all your favorite dishes when you can't decide what to order.

Crab bisque and fried shrimp po boy. Excellent! Server Justine the best. Found out it was husband's birthday so brought bread pudding. Then made sure we were in loyalty program. All these before noon on a Saturday.

It's always a good day when we find our trip timed correctly to make a stop here. Love sitting at the oyster bar watching them shuck my lunch right before my eyes. It's been a couple of years since our last visit but today's visit did not disappoint the delicious memory I have of this place. The chargrilled oysters are... More

Stop there several times yearly. The char grilled oysters alone are worth the trip. Shrimp are yummy in all their dishes. Potato salad good, but may be made elsewhere. Beef sandwich was not up to snuff but the fried oyster Caesar salad was to die for. Servers busy but friendly. Always worth a stop for an oyster lover.

Met a long time friend for lunch recently at Acme Oyster House. We enjoyed getting to visit and talk about school days. We also enjoyed the food. The photos posted on TA regarding Acme's food hardly does the food justice. We tried the charbroiled oysters, shrimp poboys, and the seafood gumbo. All of it was great. Positively would eat here...
