Each time I've visited this restaurant I have eaten way too much to eat and have been blown away by the quality of the Cajun food. Quiet little town of Donaldsonville always has a place or two with great food. This one surely has something going on to talk about. For desert don't forget to try the white chocolate bread... More

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch with a group of five. The restaurant has a nice and cozy feeling inside an old building with authentically distressed brick walls. However, we were... More

Creative dishes and excellent flavors. This little town gem is really good. Only two things I'd ask management to look at. Service is slow and it seems maybe staffing is the issue. Or training might need improvement. A waiter took only some of our drink order skipping some and coming back which is odd. We also waited a long time... More

Ate here 3 times. Sunday brunch is great. Breakfast potato dish is artistry. Creole presented in an original and unique way. Highly recommended.

We usually eat at two or 3 of the city's best restaurants and are well pleased. This year on our way to some of the plantations we stopped in Donaldsonville, about 2 hr.... More

First, while the place is very nice and well appointed on the inside, the food quality and service leave much to be desired. We were greeted at the door by a host who did not talk. Not a hello, not even a welcome. I mentioned how many we had in our party and we were walked to a table, handed... More

The Grapevine Restaurant is located in downtown Donaldsonville, LA. The restaurant is located near area attractions like Nottaway, Houmas House, and other local icons. From the minute you walk in you feel like you are stepping into a friend's home. The atmosphere and the service is down home comfort. The restaurant is down home Cajun style cooking but with the... The meal was fantastic. Crab cakes were top notch. Tea was sweet and fresh tasting. You need reservations or expect wait on Sundays. Food makes it all.good though.

This is one of the best restaurants in our area. Food is always exceptional and the service is the same.
