What a great place for a night out with my wife. We went to the bar and spent about an hour enjoying a couple cocktails before requesting an outside patio table. The bar service was outstanding, with great conversations with bartenders and other guests. Our mixed drinks were fixed to perfection. With a recent mild cold front coming through a... More

We grew so tired of the New Orleans restaurant scene several years ago where on Mother's Day they do cattle call fixed seating times an "special" prix fixe menus we started a grand tradition of a nice Sunday drive to the Jacmel. Tucked away in a wooded tract outside of Hammond, there is probably no more unique setting indoors and... More

Jacmel Inn used to be a terrific restaurant, but no longer. Not only were we surprised and disappointed that the restaurant has a policy to "not split checks" that they did not notify us about when we made a post-graduation reservation for a group of 13 -- which is the epitome of terrible customer service -- my mother's dish, the... My wife and I were at Jacmel last evening after a social event and had the most amazing duck dish! I was pleasantly surprised to see a 1/2 duck served vs the typical breast! The duck was superb and the skin was tender, yet perfectly crisp. I have been trying to find a perfect duck entree for years and have... More

My husband and I are traveling and have been in Ponchatoula La only for 1 week, upon arriving, we found the Jacmel Inn on a drive by and decided to check it out online, only to discover that they had a whiskey dinner. The dinner was the chef's pairings with the different whiskey's. The food was outstanding, every course was... More

Came here years ago and had high expectations. Appetizers were better than the mains, which disappointed both of us.

The food was exceptional, service good. The filet was melt in your mouth good, grilled asparagus to die for. Bean soup was excellent as well. We had a wonderful time and anticipate a return visit soon.

The restaurant is in a beautiful building well decorated with great lighting. Just a really nice atmosphere. The service was fine. But the food was disappointing. We ordered the avocado toast with tuna and yuzu to start. It was cold and had stong soy sauce flavor. Maybe just not my thing- not a sushi fan. But the filet mignon entree... More

Located in a old house in downtown Hammond this restaurant offers some of the best ambiance that you could wish for. Old wood burning fire places inside with a wonderful large patio outdoors. And the Food is exceptional. You can't go wrong going here.
