I had the crab cake benedict, and it was very good. My wife had "eggs your way" and it was adequate. The coffee was awful. The decor has a spacious warehouse feeling with the bricks of the adjoining buildings exposed. Service was slow and they were not busy. The beignets, a cute word for fried dough balls, were outstanding. This... More

The Berry Patch Cafe in downtown Hammond (formerly in Ponchatoula) is a great place for super beignets. They come in various flavors and are fairly priced. There are numerous other items on the menu that are also quite good and fairly priced.

Berry Patch Café has a good twist on the ever yummy Beignet's. They have flavor choices of Beignets and after asking the waitress which one is the best seller, the strawberry was a great choice. Very spacious indoor seating. The French quarter style Café Coffee was good as well. It is not the French Quarter, but the old downtown of... More

Great for a quick lunch. Prices very reasonable. I have dined here a few times and have received consistently good service and yummy food. Parking is awful though.

We haven't found anything that we don't love! We have been here many times. They started out in Pontchatoula and then moved to Hammond. Love the much nicer and much bigger building. The food is amazing! We have had breakfast and lunch there. There are so many things that are good. The paninis are great, especially the muffalotta ones. They... More

On our way through Louisiana, we stopped by to sample their beignets. So glad we did! They were exceptional! Fresh and delicious. We tried cream cheese, strawberry, cinnamon roll, and bananas foster. The flavors were complementary, not overpowering of the dough. Quaint little town. Great stop.

Awesome lunches consisting mainly of gourmet sandwiches and unbelievable salads.... Must try their cappuccinos and famous strawberry begneits as well!! Breakfast is very good as well. All this in one of the coolest, historical buildings in Hammond. Great ambience!! If you're visiting Hammond, you should really make an effort to stop by for breakfast or lunch.

Went for an early lunch. 3 kids and 2 adults - everybody found something they liked. Paninis, burgers, and chicken tenders with an appetizer of hummus and a desert of beignets.

Decent cafe in downtown Hammond. I can not comment on anything other than breakfast and it was good. They have a nice selection of fresh made breakfast sandwiches that seem to set it apart from other regular morning fare although that is offered as well. Food was promptly delivered to the table, service was ok. Since I had heard the... More
