Enjoyed lunch; you order going through cafeteria style line; the choices are awesome; service fast-they bring your order to table. I had the hamburger with cole slaw on it, and it was excellent.

Large portion blue plate special kind of place that is cafeteria style. If possible review their menu before getting in the cafeteria line. Fun homey atmosphere frequented by the locals. I was not aware of any other tourists in the place. I had red beans and rice and a small bowl of crawfish etoufee. Very filling.

Why go fast food when you can come here. I knew I would like this place from the second I walked in. There is a sign on the menu that reads fat makes you thin and carbs make you fat. I had short ribs, hold the rice, fresh broccoli and some cole slaw. Coffee was good and I wish I... More

I live in Illinois, but eat a lot of Cajun food, making my own tasso and buying a lot of product from Acadiana. So, I eat a lot of Cajun-styled breakfasts incorporating andouille, oysters, etc. My Cajun omelette at T-Coons was simply GOOD! A bit more than I could eat, I am sad to say, but I could not eat... Stopped here for breakfast with the boys. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, the boys both got bacon and beignets. The bacon was really good, thick and peppery. The beignets were odd...really thick and heavy. The boys liked them, but they were their least favorite of the ones we had on this trip. The biscuits and gravy were great. They... More

T-Coons is always busy at lunch and no wonder. They have a great selection of plate lunches, and the best catfish, best fried shrimp, best homemade dinner rolls, and best side dishes in town. In addition, the waitstaff is wonderfully friendly and the prices are jaw dropping low. Five stars is not enough.

Took my wife here to have her experience the great Cajun food. Place was jumping with lots of folks in to get their lunch. You can't dawdle around at the counter trying to read the menu and look at the food, because folks are pushing through to get their meals which they seem to know ahead of time. I ended... More
