We found that our favorite restaurants in Louisiana were those suggested by the locals. St John's fit that bill. It was recommended for the blue crab cakes, and since it was the season we headed over there for lunch. The crab cakes are served Maryland style, meaning they do not have breading and filling. Mine was excellent. It's in a... More

They accommodated a group from our local university with ease and grace. My crab cake was excellent. My husband had the bisque and was pleased. The delight was the homemade pecan pie served warm! Yum!

Online reservation forgot to include number in party. Owner called us to make sure they could accommodate us on a Friday evening. We arrived early and they seated us right away. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was wonderful. We will be back when we are in the area.

The food was average. We waited 60 minutes and the service was sooo slow. We had to ask for rolls, water and condiments over and over again. The owner was very friendly but it couldn't make up for the soggy shrimp and mediocre gumbo. We had high hopes and were disappointed.

What a great place. We had a large family gathering here for Christmas. The food was wonderful. Great steaks. Great service. In a wonderful little parish with lots of historical sites around it. Easy to find and hard to forget. Wonderful dinner and great hospitality.

A group of longtime friends met here for lunch. I had the crab cakes which were delicious; made of almost all crab meat. Everyone else enjoyed their lunch selection. The service was awesome, as the waitress was very patient with our visiting for 2+ hours.

Great food and great decor. The crab cakes are really good. The crawfish bisque was okay. I had the fried frog legs and it was okay. It's not that the food is not good...it is!...just not the best I've had.
