The service was fine and the food was adequate, but, did not knock my socks off in any way. I took its 4.5 star reviews as meaning that this place could compete with a high-level New Orleans restaurant, which it cannot. It was just adequate,...More

I love this place! It is out of the way from where I work and live in the Shreveport/Bossier area, but it is so worth it! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! (I would suggest if you have a smaller appetite, split...More

Everything we tried was wonderful... and the portions are huge. Real and fresh ingredients. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were unsure at first because it doesn’t look like much from the outside. But... really... go in. It is clean and the food is excellent....More

Funky little place in an old gas station that serves really good gumbo. The fried catfish is light and crispy. Great fries. The gumbo was meaty and full of spice with just a little kick. If you get the combo of anything, skip the slaw....More

This is just sad. Those of us who know real Cajun food will be sorely disappointed. Several to go orders. Shrimp po-boy wrapper covered in grease, bread dry. No crawfish in the crawfish etoufee! Really?! Etoufee sauce ok, not great. Gumbo way too thick, was...More

Tried the gumbo and jambalaya, I can't pick a favorite because they were both amazing. Cool eating environment, staff was super friendly too. Will definitely go again when traveling through Shreveport.

The fried ship is breaded with corn meal and is some of the best I’ve ever eaten. I’m not normally a steak fries guy, but their are almost crispy and excellent. Jambalaya was outstanding. Get the combo- it’s a great deal. You can two choose...More
