This is a no-nonsense spot with amazing food and friendly service. You will be happy with the sweet or savory choices (or both) and they have specials as well. This is a great place to hang with the locals. Try the cinnamon rolls when they...are hot from the oven. Delicious!More

We ate here twice in our one-week vacation in Maine. They were the best breakfasts of our trip. We were staying in Rockport, ME (a good hour's drive), but it was worth it. I could tell immediately that I was eating home-made sausage. My French...Toast with bananas and walnuts was perfect. My Mainer Breakfast could not be surpassed. My husband had blueberry pancakes and a traditional breakfast. The place is spotless (you could see into the kitchen) and the staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

Stopped here for lunch on our way from Portland to Bar Harbor. This restaurant popped up in TA as very highly rated so we had to check it out. The restaurant is not fancy, it is an old house with limited seating, but the service...and food were fabulous! Large portions.More

This is a fantastic little restaurant in a unique building. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s adorable; the staff is friendly and the food is delicious.

Best breakfast in the area - especially the daily specials. I read reviews complaining about the attitude of the staff but we have been multiple times over the past 6 months and staff has been uniformly delightful. Baked items are also really good. My advice...to visitors is if you are in a hurry and have a short fuse, go somewhere else (like the Jersey shore maybe?). If you can sit back and enjoy the people and surroundings, watch the river and drink good coffee then definitely check it out. And seriously don't pass on the specials.More

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The blackened shrimp omelet was excellent as was my daughter's CBH omelet. Don't pass up an opportunity to visit Holly. It would be your loss...

Lovely little family diner. The waitress and her son were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our corn beef and hash and banana French toast. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. We went on our way to the Mariner Museum.

Everything was made from scratch. The crab Reuben was a special. Fresh bread packed full of wonderful crab filling. Perfect views from the patio - only 6 tables. Surprisingly long menu and reasonable prices for the excellent quality. Sign says General Store / Restaurant and...Bakery. Perfect for breakfast or lunchMore

There aren’t enough great adjectives to describe this place! We had breakfast and it was difficult to make a selection from the menu and specials as everything sounded good. We could not have been more pleased with our selections and look forward to being in...the area again just to eat here. On the way out we left with Whoopie Pies to go. WOW! Best ones We have ever eaten and wish we had purchased the entire tray!More

Looked forward to this since last year!! An excellent breakfast in a beautiful cafe! The Cajun shrimp and chorizo scramble was wonderful. The scones amazing. But this only scratches the surface of this place... It's the vibe they give off that I feel is the...key. They actually love what they do- and in a profession that has you "in the weeds" from open to close everyday- it makes a difference.More

You know a place is good when you sit at your table, and while looking over the menu, three people pop their head end asking if the scones are ready. Then another asks if the Cinnamon rolls are ready. My husband loved this place. I...had the western omelette sandwich which was perfectly cooked and delicious on toasted sour dough. And my husband had Banana Nut French toast with butter infused with cinnamon. Yummy!!! Equally important was the vibe. I give the Service 11 out of 10. We will be regulars now.More

We had a lovely lunch for my mother’s birthday. She ordered a lobster grilled cheese and a raspberry chocolate butter cream frosted cupcake which was AMAZING. Just like every other establishment they’re so short staffed, but they made up for it with the delicious seafood...chowder and pecan bars were to die for. My hubby ordered the special which was a chicken salad bacon wrap which was good.More

Yes I suppose a vegan could get a meal here but it’s a seafood restaurant and that’s what their menu reflects.

Not that I know of. They are kind of a mom & pop operation which is part of the charm. Fish is a major part of the menu-blackened haddock salad/sandwich, lobster/crab/haddock tacos-plus a wide variety of sandwiches hot and... More
