We have been coming here for number of years. It is exceptional, and the pies are over the top wonderful. American diner at its best!

If you find yourself in the north Maine woods , near Bingham or Solon, check out Thomsons for breakfast or lunch. Great food and prices. Just don't expect modern interior styling because this place has been frozen in time for decades.

A friend and I enjoyed the spectacular scenery and good road to Bingham. Thompson’s was a real treat. We both had excellent hamburgers and real French fries. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. Lots of seafood ordered by locals. The waitress knew...most of the patrons by name, but still made us feel welcome and well cared for. We left with a couple of the wonderful donuts. Makes a fun day trip and will definitely go again.More

We got lost going from Bangor Airport to Quebec City and found Thompson's along the way. Starving, frustrated and a little overwhelmed by the snowy roads, we stopped despite the fact that no one was inside (it was 4pm). By 5:30, the place was packed...and for good reason - the steak was delicious, the 4 bean salad was homemade, the haddock chowder was GLORIOUS and the pies, homemade again, were straight up delish. A glass of admittedly-cheap wine, coffee and iced tea, all for $40!!! The waitress was a dear and the 'story' of Thompson's on the back of the menu had hilariously bad spelling and grammar, but the story was sweet and made us very happy to be part of Thompson's history.More

small, but food is great! homemade donuts are to die for!! Friendly waitstaff and the owners are incredibly sweet.

Stopped here for lunch before heading out for a day on the trails. Great food, nice people and the tab will not scare you. Highly recommended

Went there twice friendly staff, good food and excellent value. Can definitely recommend the blueberry pie
