First time stopping here, probably the last time. Ate at some many great places over the years and thought we would try someplace different. Food was mediocre and service was bad. No one spoke English. I ordered a draft beer, tasted like soap. Took 3...More

Great seafood! Was within walking distance of the hotel. We went there for lunch and had a huge serving of steamed clams, fried oysters, and a seafood combo fra diavolo. It is no frills with picnic tables on tiered decks overlooking the harbor and paper...More

We stood in line at dinner a good 30 minutes just to order at the window. It's a wildly inefficient system - why not sit down, enjoy the view and have a drink while waiting to order and waiting for food?? Only 1 person taking...More

My wife and I have been stopping at The Lobster Dock for years and we found it as good as always. Everything is so fresh and good. We tried the crab cakes and clam chowder and both were delicious.

We were so exctied to eat our first lobsters of our visit to Maine and we chose the Lobster Dock based on previous reviews. We loved the location (which was an easy walk across the footbridge). There were nice views and ample multi-level deck seating...More

It was ok! The cold lobster roll had a bit too much mayo for my taste. The Boothbay Lobster Wharf just down the road had a better (and much bigger) roll. That said, the Lobster Dock did have more variety if you have non-seafood people!

We didn't have a god experience. It wasn't busy, maybe a dozen other people, so that's not the reason. We ordered 2 beers, fried artichoke hearts and oysters on the half shell at the window, that was an ordeal. The young fellow was more interested...More

Description
Locally caught lobster is our specialty. Several hundred pounds are stored in our sea water tank. You may select your own from the tank and watch as they are prepared for cooking in our large outdoor pots. We have all sizes of the tasty shellfish, from one to four pounds. To those new to lobster, we will gladly assist on how to best eat them and explain the differences between hard and soft shell. The Outdoor Patio at The Lobster Dock The flavor of Maine is further captured in our other offerings. Stews and chowders are prepared daily from only the freshest ingredients. The shrimp and scallops we use are caught in the waters of the Boothbay Region. Clams are also supplied by local diggers most every day. Our mussels are grown on a salt water farm in Tenants Harbor. Fish caught in the North Atlantic are supplied to us from Boothbay Fish Dealers. We accept only the freshest available. It is not unusual for us to refuse deliveries that do not meet our quality standards.
