Four of us drove to Cambridge, Maine this evening saw a great sunset over the pond and had a wonderful supper at the General Store. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and attentive. The owners are the cooks, they are superior! You need...to take the drive to Cambridge to eat and enjoy the down home Maine setting. You really owe it to yourself to have a meal in this family owned and run general store/restaurant! We will go back again! It kind of felt like it was 1975 tonight! Don't miss this place!More

A rainy day out at camp prompted us to head for the Cambridge General Store for lunch today. A welcoming dining space with a surprisingly diverse menu greeted us. Between the four of us we tried the pulled pork sandwich special, the cheeseburger bomb special,...bacon cheeseburger, and a garden salad plus french fries. The food was good and an amazing amount for the price! The tin ceilings, penny candy bins, and attached post office added to the relaxing atmosphere with a hint of nostalgia. Located across the street from Cambridge Pond. Definitely worth making the trip!More
