Just a short visit for some clam chowder and beer, but we sat outside and enjoyed the view of the water.

We had steamers, fresh haddock and salad with Maine shrimp. Everything was delicious. Prices are a little high but the view makes it perfect.

Really high prices for mediocre food. Service is good, and view is really nice. But the food is just average. Nice menu, but prices need to come down for us to go again. We've gone every summer for four years in a row, but won't next time.

Delicious food and the atmosphere is beautiful, The area is such a quaint town that practically everyone knows one another.

The food offered is excellent though somewhat expensive. Lobster is excellent here as is any seafood especially the local shrimp. Deserts are good.

The Chowder House is blessed with spectacular views but the food is inconsistent and usually disappointing. It has potential to be so much more than a sub standard fry house. Just go with your eyes wide open to enjoy the view and don't expect much out of the kitchen.

Another couple and my husband and I went to Easport Chowder House last Friday night. They have now added a special early bird menu from 4-6 p.m. that features very nice selections at reasonable prices. This is a truly authentic oceanfront eatery -- not contrived -- serving fresh seafood directly brought to the wharf by local fishermen.

This is a truly authentic Maine oceanfront eatery -- not contrived -- serving locally caught seafood. Fresh lobsters are directly from the lobster pound that's part of the property. Light fare to full course meals throughout the day.

They had friendly staff but right off served us rotten clams...I've never been served rotten food disgustingly. We should have left then...the rest of our meal was deep fried frozen food yuck. Go anywhere else don't waste your money.

The early bird dinner is an excellent value and the food is very good. My husband and I both had lobster which was excellent. The outdoor dining area is rather small but the inside dining room is much larger. We were lucky enough to eat on the deck and enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend the Eastport Chowder House.
