I usually do not write reviews about Ice Cream but one of our many highlights each year on our annual trip to Maine, from Georgia this year will be our 24th year heading up to the Great State of Maine, is having a daily scoop or two of Gifford's Ice Cream my husband will sample different flavors but for me... Gifford's is a Maine institution and for good reason. The ice cream is thick, creamy and well flavored. Some of flavors are unique to Maine--Moose Tracks, Maine Deer Tracks, etc, and some are wonderful standards, like mint chocolate chip, rocky road, caramel fudge, chocolate chip, blueberry, World's Best Chocolate (it is actually an award winner), and French Vanilla....you get the... I would stop at any of the Gifford"s Ice Cream stands. We go to the ones in Round Pound and on Rt 130 just past the turn for Pemiquid Beach. They are cute little stands and the Main Black Bear is awsome.

My wife and I love good ice cream, and we have never been disappointed at Giffords. We've made sure to visit it every time we're in Farmington. It is a little pricey, but the ice cream is worth it.

If you're traveling in Maine and see a Gifford's ice cream stand, STOP. This ice cream is absolutely wonderful. Their classic vanilla and chocolate are prize winners, but there are lots of other flavors that are equally terrific. One of my favorites is toasted coconut. They offer a "flavor of the week" which gives you two generous scoops for $1.99.... More

Good servings for the price, nice Maine made product, quick friendly service. Would have been nice to know what some of the items were in place of asking the staff, however they were patient and friendly.

Spectacular ice cream. Taste, texture, flavors and variety are all outstanding. I live in Vermont and love Ben & Jerry's, but prefer Gifford's.

I had tried their Maine Wild Blueberry flavor at a small take-out place, and wanted more. But when I tasted the Dark Chocolate - Chocolate Chip, I had that instead. It was excellent! There are 7 windows, and they stay pretty busy. There was a Mexican food truck out back, but we had already eaten lunch that day.
