Went for an afternoon lunch and had some of the best food I've had in a good while! The calamari was cooked to perfection and the puff pastry was to die for. Excellent service and really friendly staff, with cute vintage decor. Loved it, will definitely be coming back!

We stopped in for lunch over Easter weekend and discovered an absolute gem of a place. Friendly and warm we were served quickly and given the menus. Table service was also unexpected and very welcome. The food was just superb. A must if you are near Caldecott.

Homely pub atmosphere with attentive service and a really good menu at very reasonable cost. Sunday Lunch was lovely, the meal was lovely...starting with Brie and cranberry tartlet, followed by beef in a Stilton and peppercorn sauce. Too full for a sweet, even though though the selection was great. Will definitely go again.

We stopped with no expectations at all, just saw this place en-route on a long journey. The pub is cosy, welcoming and we had the most delicious Sunday lunch, with a really lovely veggie option for the fussy one (me). Friendly staff, super service and an interesting selection of beers/wines, oh and very reasonable prices too. Everything a 'real' country... More

Very nice place to eat, clean , welcoming with little lights in window. The service was good and owner pleasant but not overpowering. The food was very hot and tasty and very good portions. We will be back as the menu is extensive and we want to try something else

A blast from the local past offering home cooked delicious pub foods (with great service) and an ever changing selection of ales. Very friendly and welcoming.
