Having driven past and been wanting to try this venue for awhile finally got the opportunity. Whilst trading hours during day are bit restrictive service was prompt (although venue only had 2 other bookings at the time); food that we ordered was cooked well, very tasty and serves sufficiently sized. The Shish Kebab was very tasty and so tender. Whilst... More

Forget about relaxing, sitting and enjoying the view. Their opening hours on a Friday is 12pm – 3pm. We arrived at 1pm thinking that 2 hours is a reasonable time to have lunch. We ordered drinks and a stater plate to share. Don’t expect any side plates. At 1:45 the chef himself, dressed in a rag of a T-shirt showing... More

When they get food right here, its fantastic (light, crunchy, not greazy with enjoyable garnish) but when its wrong its borders on awful (greazy, bad accompnients&small serving with dearer price). Granted they knew it was our anniversary&pretty empty, so coz we not order dessert, they gave us a free cellerbration dessert to share that was so chocolatey. Friendly operaters, trying... More

In a suburb with only 1 restaurant this place could be a winner. As with other reviewers, its in a great location with great views. While the breakfast (we all had eggs Benedict) coffee and service was ok, it was standard fare. The haloumi side was cooked and looked like a fried egg with the taste of fried fish instead... More

Like others, after reading mixed reviews we were a little hesitant, but went ahead anyway, and so very glad we did! Family Saturday lunch in the downstairs cafe .... Excellent service, beautiful quality food, and great quiet corner with views all around. It was cold, but the heater was on and the staff checked in with us a few times... More

During some pretty wild weather, we took shelter in this lovely cafe. Although we decided to just get takeout, the views are seriously spectacular for those dining in! I'd actually had some awful fish and chips from somewhere else in Adelaide that weekend, which were essential inedible, so thought I'd see if Marino Rocks would do better. I wasn't disappointed... Booked for lunch here recently with some trepidation after reading the very mixed reviews of Marino Rocks cafe. Our experience was great. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious, as was the wine, and the view out to sea was lovely. We were looked after in a very friendly manner and made to feel welcome. This was... More

Does this place exist only for a tax right off? i just want chips :'( I am a chef and have worked in customer service... More

It's not the best sea view in Adelaide, but a walk along the coast, especially to the north, followed by a meal at Marino Rocks Cafe, is just sublime. We enjoyed lunch there recently, it having been 30+ years since we had last visited the venue, when it was a daggy fish-and-chips shop that absolutely aced all competition in the... More
