We were here celebrating my fiancé birthday. The crispy farm egg salad and calamari were amazing!! I had the fish stew and he ordered the ribeye which were both great as well. The waitress (who thought she wasn't attentive) took our dessert and coffee off our tab. We thought everything was wonderful. I would probably only ask to not be... More

Completely stumbled upon this place looking for an open kitchen @ 9pm on a tuesday night. They welcomed us in and said order away. Started off great with wonderful bread, then we got our grilled corn appetizer... this is a must order... 4 half ears, grilled perfectly, covered in a wonderful Aoili sauce with roasted peppers & onions, plus thinly... I had a friend in high school who dressed in what he called "The Total Look". His socks matched the color of the ever present sweater. His sides were always well suited for the main course. The Chef at Local 50 must have also studied The Total Look for here the sides match and compliment the main course in a... More

We really enjoyed the food and funky decor at 50 Local. The staff was very knowledgeable about and eager to share the local sources of the ingredients to their dishes. The service was very friendly, efficient and attentive. We enjoyed the lobster stew, pork belly tacos, and fried clams. Every dish was truly great, and I hope to visit again... More

I eat all over the world, and I must say that tonight's meal was among the top 10 this year. The restaurant is particular about the food service and it's preparation. Here are a few items not to be missed: the lobster stew, amazing; the grilled corn with heavenly aoili, superb; the chicken Statler, incredible; fish & chips, none better;... More

We have been visiting the Kennebunk area for years and recently 50 Local has been our dinner place. This visit was no different and we were pleased to be served by James yet again. He always does a phenomenal job explaining the menu and per his recommendation, started with the lemon risotto. For our entrees we shared the Halibut and... More

Local restaurant with great food. I feel the chef is preparing the food for himself to eat. The three of us each thought ours choice was the best..Be sure to try the crispy farm egg salad and the ricotta. Service was a little slow but with good company the food was worth the wait.

We were looking for a farm to table restaurant near our house in Biddeford, ME. By luck I found out about 50 Local. Each person's starter and entree were super (quite a feat for 8 folks)! We had seafood stew, crispy farm egg caesar salad, mussels, haddock, steak frites, local burger and lobster soup. The focaccia and ciabatta was tasty... More

My boyfriend and I had a lovely date night at 50 Local last week. The cozy ambiance is both lively and friendly- and they sure are busy! My boyfriend fell in love with the bread and I with the lobster. We also enjoyed the tagliatelle pasta and beignets on the advice of our charismatic server James. We didn't experience any... More
