Just 15 minutes before Sugarloaf you will find this quintessential diner. The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. The have fantastic (and large) omelets, eggs, sandwiches, salads, etc. Omelets are served all day and they have plenty of gluten free options. We have 6 people in our party and EVERYONE was pleased with their meals, including the kiddos. Headed... More

This is one of those places where you get in line, pour your own drink then order your food, when it's ready they'll call your name. The service is quick, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is rustic. No waiters. Prices are very reasonable. A do not miss if your in the area.

Rustic, but clean, environment with the BEST breakfast I've had. For $5.50, you get 2 eggs done your way, thick cut bacon, home fries, 2 slices toast (homemade bread available), an assortment of phenomenal HOMEMADE jam, and coffee - if it wasn't so far away, I would go back this morning! Staff at the counter were helpful and nice; you... More

Excellent breakfast choices and delicious food for great prices. Have a hearty "New England Breakfast" -- or enjoy waffles or omelettes made to order.

We had breakfast here before hitting the road after a quick stop in Kingfield. We were really impressed with the value. The food was good, the other patrons were friendly. They had books for the kids to read while we waited for our food. The staff were all so nice.

Stumbled on this place with hungry bellys one morning after getting gas. Man. Were we happy! Their homemade bread is to. die. for. So good! The whole breakfast was made to order and everything was delectable, the even had homemade jams to choose from. YUM!

Quirky place - no table service and you clear your dirty dishes (like college dorm). But hey, breakfast for 2 for $10.00 I can clear a lot of dishes. The breakfast special for $5, with coffee, is great. I would like to see the person who could eat 3 of their pancakes. They sell them individually and 2 is a... More

Good price, good size food portion, easy location, clean and roomy. The decor is great for a back woods country experience. The huge single cut Pine Slab tables are great. Cash no plastic for payment. We had spent the night in Skowhegan on route through Maine to Toronto. We had an early morning start and planned to do some driving... More

This place is quintessential Maine. No fuss, no frills, just heaps of good food at great prices. Order at the walk-up counter inside, then sit at basic tables surrounded by quirky posters and pictures and other funny historical signs. We ate breakfast here ---- just your standard bacon and eggs and home fries and toast. The food was good and... More

Stopped in this restaurant for a bite to eat as we were heading from Quebec to Bar Harbor, ME. Good home cooking. We each ordered a burger and a drink. It came with homestyle potato chips. Hubby had the seafood chowder which was out of this world. It had hugh chunks of fish in a creamy broth. The burgers were... More
