A fabulous and filling breakfast at a very reasonable price. Best pancake I've ever had! We felt right at home and had pleasant conversations with the locals. We will be back in the spring for more!!

Nice decor. Great food, large portions. No wait stagf, you order at counter ad pick up your own food and take care of your own dishes.

Stopped in our way to Orono, this was the 2nd time I was there. Quite an old, interesting place with a real friendly staff. Large menu choice. Orders are given at a counter and you go sit at a table. Your name is called when...your food is ready and you pick it up at a side counter. Ordered a Hamburger that was really good, cooked to perfection. The “speciality” dessert is delicious blueberry pie. After eating, you take your plates etc and put them through an opening in the wall. Will stop there agin in my way to Orono next year.More

Ate here for two breakfast meals and the food is just fabulous. A great way to start the day on the ski slopes.

A popular hangout for the locals, and a gem for those passing through. The breakfast (which ends at 11 a.m.) menu is fabulous, and the home-cooked meals are delicious and plentiful. Most of the food is locally sourced and prepared fresh. The staff are friendly...and helpful. No wonder the Woodsman is always crowded.More

Just 15 minutes before Sugarloaf you will find this quintessential diner. The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. The have fantastic (and large) omelets, eggs, sandwiches, salads, etc. Omelets are served all day and they have plenty of gluten free options. We have 6...people in our party and EVERYONE was pleased with their meals, including the kiddos. Headed to the loaf? Stop in on your way up!More

This is one of those places where you get in line, pour your own drink then order your food, when it's ready they'll call your name. The service is quick, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is rustic. No waiters. Prices are very reasonable....A do not miss if your in the area.More
