I have young children ages six and eight. They spill beverages at restaurants like most children do. This whole new straw epidemic is obnoxious and restaurants to give into it are spineless and don’t care about children as much as they PRETEND to care about...More

We tried the seafood basket. The clams by far was the best. The scallops and fish were good. The lobster roll was just ok. The onion burger was ok. The meat was bland, but the sauce helped.

Kind of a tourist trap - decent lobster roll but not the best. Crowded in summer. Food comes out quickly and it’s fun to eat outside. I’ve had lobster rolls with more Meat

Great eatery. Order at the counter, then they call you when the food is ready. Can eat outside, inside or take with you. The New England Clam Chowder was superb. Fish sandwich and Clam sandwich: delicious. Casual, friendly atmosphere.

Simple, unassuming and the best lobster rolls! Fish sandwich had a giant filet of haddock, lightly fried and hanging off both sides of the bun. You don't have room for the fries - too full of fish! Skip the clam chowder - it's milk based...More

This is a great day! I crossed off something from my Bucket List. I've been a fan of fried clams since my mother and I used to go to lunches with my Grandmother at the local Howard Johnson back home. Over the years, and hundreds...More

Annually we make a stop in at Bob's clam hut for the best chowder, clam strips and lobster. The reason why they are so busy is because it's so good!

Description
Established in 1956 on busy Route One long before that stretch became bustling and busy with Kittery's outlet shops, Bob’s was the locals' golden fried standard. Now Bob's is a favorite spot for locals and travelers alike. We hear it from our guests: no trip to Maine is complete without a meal at Bob's Clam Hut.Bob's is committed to serving traditional Maine fried seafood with straightforward simplicity. Our clams are always fresh, which means daily deliveries--we're too small to store more than that anyway. We use "specials," which are clams hand-selected for consistent size and quality. We follow the original Bob's recipes, including the famous tartar sauce. Customer favorites include Bob's New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Stew, the traditional Bob's fried clams, and the Lillian fried clams. The volume of fryolator oil we go through amazes our suppliers--our oil cleanliness standards are second to none. Our staff uses the same cook-to-order system that Bob and his family developed way back when the Clam Hut first opened.Open for lunch and dinner year round from 11:00.
