On our yearly visits to the area, we always eat here if we can. Lobsters are pricey ($18 per pound!!) but very carefully cooked, steamed clams are great. We love being able to bring our own side dishes and wine, and like sitting on the edge of the creek. (It can be very hot, very cold, and sometimes buggy --... More

This place is awesome, tucked away, wouldn't know it's there unless you heard about it from a friend, but it's worth the ride out to. Bring a picnic basket, table cloth, byob, apps, anything you want and get fresh made to order seafood for lunch. Right on the water, great place for friends and couples, kids and family time. Highly... More

Chauncey Creek Lobster company is iconic to Kittery Point, ME. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is very New England. There are a few places in the Portsmouth/Kittery area where you can Dock and Dine and this place is one of them. Only one caviat... Chauncey Creek is a tidal creek so it is recommended that you show up... More

This is how lobster should be enjoyed. Outside, on a picnic table, after being steamed in salt water! We take all of our out of town visitors to Chauncey Creek - making a stop at Smuttynose Brewery for a growler of beer on the way. This summer, we took guests from California and Hawaii, and celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday at... More

Although this place was a little bit out of the way for us, we made an effort to find it and eat there because of the high recommendations from our cousin- no regrets since the food was way above average. We had Shrimp Coconut Shrimp with fries (yummy) and fantastic lobster rolls. It is BYOB (Bring your bottle place) and... More

We just LOVED Chauncey Creek!! We went to several lobster pounds on our trip and this was the BEST!!! The lobster was incredibly fresh and the chowder was delish!! We will definitely be going back anytime we are in the area.

Recommended by our innkeeper, we tried this restaurant one evening. BYOB and anything not on the menu. So much fun! Pick your lobster and find a table (two hour max if there are people waiting). Then wait for fantastic service and food. We had so much fun and were so full, we went back the second night and started all... More

Three of us went for dinner and decided to try a variety of items from the menu. This is a fun spot to dine being by the water, but the food was just average-to-poor. The steamed lobsters were fine, but the rest of the items were disappointing. And this place is not cheap. Our bill was over $100 for three... More

We were in Portsmouth NH and decided to drive over to Maine to get some lobster. We tried one restaurant and were told that there was a 2-hour wait, so we drove around a little and found a lobster wholesale establishment. We stopped and asked where the locals go for good lobster in the area--not fancy, but really good. We... More

The location is really nice as you can sit on the pier by the creek. Parking can be a challenge. The lobster was very good. The place can get really crowded
