The Naples Lobster Pound is part of our annual summer trip to Maine. We're lobster lovers, and always go for the full dinner. The lobster, corn and chowder never disappoint, and we leave full and happy.
"The Pound" has been a staple to my visits to this area since 1977, and it is always excellent. The best and most consistent meals anywhere in the area. Nice variety of options. Friendly and attentive staff. Great location.
Our large family decided to do a "to go" order for convenience sake. The lobster was delicious as was all the other dinners and side orders. It was a great decision for us and our order was accurately done to everyone's liking.
This is our place to get lobster and steamers to go. We've been ordering g for years, quality and service still great. Every once in a while we eat in, it never disappoints. Prices reasonable for takeout. The corn pictured is ours, lobster and clams...were great.More
Save your money.. service was terrible, and the food was cold.We waited for a table for about 20 minutes.Tried to get a drink at the bar. Terrible service. Found a way better place in Cornish called.. Bay Haven... you get alot of great tasting lobster...and service for the money.More
This old building is a favorite of ours in summertime Naples. It dates from the 1950's and is worn in spots, but the food is still wonderful! Seven of our family went for opening night last night and were not disappointed. My fried clams were...perfect, as were the onion rings and my wife's lobster roll. We always work around the busiest times as summer in Naples IS summer in Naples!More
Since I was a kid, the Lobster Pound has been a summer tradition. We are talking 59 years and counting. Obviously it’s changed ownership over that many years but the tradition has stood the test of time.
The lobster here is o.k. -- nothing special -- but get it to take out. If you make the mistake of eating in, be prepared for a long wait during tourist season and bring a change of clothing. The humidity, grease and smell of stale...lobster inside the restaurant will make you want to throw away the clothes that you were wearing.More
