This seasonal restaurant overlooking Long Lake is one of our favorites! I regularly enjoy the Captains Bake or the Wedge Salad with Steak while my husband has to have the Surf & Turf burger. The drinks are great (Rita Hayworth!) and the view is fantastic!

Only takeout because of the quarantine but we were impressed. Have never been before but hope to go again when we can sit inside. Best fried haddock I've ever had, and I've had a lot! Husband's cheeseburger was perfectly done. Even the fries and Cole...slaw were delicious! Very friendly and competent staff. Great location on the lake! The negative reviews were from many years ago -- just ignore.More

This restaurant is situated on Long Lake with seating in the back to watch the boats come and go. They have great music on the weekends, excellent food and a good sized bar! Great place to go if you want to relax by the water.

This place has it all. Great atmosphere, professional staff, outstanding food, and quality cocktails. We were warmly greeted at the front door by the the owner and the manager. Although busy, the hostess did a fantastic job quickly seating us. Within a mater of minutes...a friendly waitress was taking our drink order. The drinks were very tasty. We placed our order for shrimp scampi and pork shank. The food arrived hot out of the kitchen. The flavor on both meals was outstanding. The waitress was very attentive to us which added to the dinning experience. If you are looking for a good meal, drinks, and a beautiful location on the lake Freedom Cafe is the place to go.More

We showed up for a lakeside dinner for 5 with no reservations on the Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. There are no assistants manning the docks here, you are on your own when you moor. We were seated immediately upon arrival; the place was...pretty full, with a live band playing on the lawn. The pork shank was the best of the meals ordered; that being said, you won't go wrong with fish and chips or a burger. Portions sizes were unreasonable large for a normal adult. Service was attentive and personable. The prices were a bit high but we'd go here againMore

Lobster rolls were very full ... and that was the single! They also have a double. I had the blackened haddock sandwich, very flavorful. The back section overlooks Long Lake. You can watch the float plane take off and land. Lunch for 3 was $62...before tip.More

we had lobster bruschetta that was wonderful and a seafood platter filled with fried fish, scallops and shrimp. We shared these. More than we could eat.

Attempted 2 times for second year in a row to eat here. Kitchen closed much earlier than posted all 4 times. Very disappointed

We stopped in for dinner and really enjoyed the view while eating outside. The lower deck is great - right by the lake, large picnic table and the best part for us - dog friendly. The food was really good. I started with a wine...slushy - it was a great treat for a hot day. I then had the fish tacos. They were excellent - perfectly seasoned and great flavor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Although service was a bit slow - I think it was a staffing issue. Great place to go and enjoy the view and good food!More
