This place is right up the street from my cottage and I've been coming here for a number of years. There is a reason for that - the staff are all wonderful. I come here alone or with friends and sit at the bar for dinner. That said, they have an outdoor patio that is perfect for lunch or dinner... More

Chose the Freedom Cafe after being recommended by a co- worker who lives nearby. We had the 1/2 of lobster chunks as an appetizer ( how can you go wrong?) followed by the lobster stew. I've always been leery of lobster stew because there seems to be such a variation but, this was amazing! So rich, creamy and filled with... More

Our table was inside and we were constantly bothered by flies. They need to address that. Sandwich was fine though skimpy ( not loaded ad menu stated) and French fries were awful. Waitress was pleasant though. Noisy with seaplanes landing right outside.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Loved eating out on the deck, lakeside. Great entertainment too, live music. Would dine here again.

This 200 year old post and beam building on the Causeway in Naples, Maine provides a beautiful view of Long Lake. There is indoor and outdoor seating options. The friendly owner and his staff seemed eager to please and to insure visitors' satisfaction. This was a lunch for two and we were both happy with our meals. The Nachos appetizer... More

We go to Maine every year for a week and we always stop into the Freedom Cafe' on Karaoke night (Wednesdays). The food is good and the drinks were good also. Nice deck overlooking Long Lake adds to the nice feeling also. You can't go wrong here!

Excellent view of Long Lake, ate outside all times visited (3). Generally pleased with all aspects of this place, good menu, good drinks, good entertainment one of the days visited. Be mindful the water way can be a bit loud with boats and such. Yes I would return.

Upon entering you're wowed by the expansive ceilings, size of the restaurant and vintage decor. Enjoyed the great photography and artwork throughout as we meandered towards the back to discovered the outdoor dining overlooking the lake. We had the delicious lobster stew and fab burgers - great service too! You won't be disappointed!

It was lovely sitting out on the back deck with a view of Long Lake. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. All 4 of us were happy with out meals including scallops, steak and a reuben. The mussels were good as an appetizer, but more that 2 pieces of bread were necessary for the broth. Which our waitress willing brought... More
