They were kind enough to provide a take out meal of lobster rolls, salad and coleslaw, served in compostable paper containers. The lobster was large pieces of tail and claw meat, only very lightly dressed set into a long brioche bun. Tasty! The salad was...More

I had a remarkable dinner entree of salmon and dessert of lemon curd. The salmon was just wonderful with so many flavors. It has kept the interior decor of the previous restaurant, La Provence, so it's charming. The meal definitely met the standards of La...More

Roost Café & Bistro – Ogunquit, ME – 9/15/2016 It's a little off the beaten path but quite worth the drive. On the outside, like an old Inn. The street sign, a rustic board purposely placed alongside a bed of flowers and grasses… As you...More

Lovely setting and interesting menu but the tastes didn't match up to the descriptions. A particular oddity was the dense and sweet bread served. Our waiter was unfocused throughout our meal, in fact we had to get his attention to take our order. From what...More

First, this one of our family's favorite restaurants in Ogunquit. In our opinion it has the best breakfast in Town. The food is always fresh, delicious and the portions are large. We particularly like the hash and the eggs Benedict. Over the years I think...More

Dear Mr. Pinkham: I'm not sure how you can say "all the other reviews," if you take the "poor" and "terrible" reviews equal about 20% of the reviews posted. Another 20% defined it as average. We appreciate getting good food for a good value for our money. It seems that was not apparent for us and others. I may indeed be incorrect on the seating numbers, but July Fourth weekend, one would think that :excess" space would be in demand. I do not wish to get into a pissing match here. I try to be as forthright as possible with my reviews. If a place excels, I will post it as such, even noting minor missteps. But if a place is deserving of poor marks, I will post that too. Yes, it is subjective, but I've eaten in some awesome low and high end places, and I've eaten in some horrible high end and low end places. Please accept my and the other less than wonderful reviews as constructive criticism and use it for the betterment of your establishment. I hope you succeed in that task.
