upon entering the restaurant i was very impressed. Clean, nice atmosphere, quite mummer of guests. Once seated i noticed all the guest were wearing jackets. Our waitress greeted us and tried to light a candle on the table, it kept blowing out. all the windows...in the room we were seating in were open. I told her this was the first time we had been there and the first time we had been out to dinner in a long time. I then asked if she could close the windows. She did not answer, not sure if she was really listening to me as she walked away. i asked the other guests if they minded if i closed the windows... they replied please do. i closed the windows, it started to warm up in the room, folks took off their jackets and she came back in and opened up all the windows. I asked her to close them since it was about 55 degrees in the room. She said something about the AC. I didn't quite understand her reply.
We decided to order. The bread was great, both my wife and i could not eat our meals... i could not cut the eggplant with my knife it was as tough as leather and tasted just as bad. i tried 2 bites and could not get through it. my wife ordered the chicken palm and had a similar experience. We mentioned to the waitress that the meal was not very good at all and we were struggling to eat it. The tomato sauce on top of the meal tasted like it just came out of a can. We could taste metal, maybe it was in a pan for a long time. She did not apologize and suggested we try the meatballs. So we ordered a side. 2 balls covered in the same Sause. I thought the eggplant was bad, we struggled to cut the balls with a folk, they were extremely tough. When we tried to eat them they were so overly salted they were not eatable. We told the waitress of our dissatisfaction, we did not eat more than 2 bites of each of our meals and left 1 and 3/4 of the meatballs. She asked us if we wanted a to go box and all i could thing of is my dog will not eat this. She did not appear to be concerned in the least. The place was busy and we could not understand how. Do folks not know what good food is? Or are they just happy to be out of their home for a few hours and freeze while eating with their jackets on, so the waitresses are not inconvenienced by getting a bit hot waiting on folks.
This was an awful experience and i am glad we did not try an entertain guests... i would have been embraced. Oh ya our bill was over $150. and we tipped the waitress.
We stopped on the way home and grabbed some dinner.More
