The experience started when the owner John called to confirm our reservation. When my wife and I showed up we were greeted by John and given great seats that overlooked the whole restaurant. From there the waiters we had were very helpful and informative and you could tell they really liked working there. The food was amazing and the lamb... More

We tried Emilitsa for the first time last weekend, and will definitely be back. The meal began with a complimentary dipping spread, and was followed by the delicious scallop appetizer. The grilled swordfish was skewered with sweet pepper and onions, and served over a bed of rice and sauteed spinich. My husband had the grilled pork - which was prepared... More

I frequent Greek restaurants as often as I can. That said, Emilitsa is not your typical Greek food restaurant. Cozy is an understatement. Literally walking in you are transported right to the old country. A snowstorm outside, we laughed when we received a disapproving look when we asked to sit in a booth rather than in the window, after all... More

Authentic Greek food, terrific wine selections, and a welcoming atmosphere. I sampled a variety of appetizers - octopus, rabbit, and braised ribs - and was delighted with each bite! Carly, our waitress, enthusiastic, attentive, and especially patient with me as I unsure of the wine list - all Greek wines - and all new to me. She picked out 2... More

Emilitsa's just keeps getting better! The blackened duck was the best in the city of Portland. Octopothi tis skaras and htenia meh ouzo scallops were tender and perfectly done (not that easy to do) and their simple domata salata (tomatoes) is light and just the right touch. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. It's like finding a little place in the Plaka... warm... More

This is a great restaurant. Delicious food, a wide variety of wines, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The lamb loin chops are always terrific, but the duck breast is also worthy of a second trip. Also, get the red and golden beats. However, if you have only one thing there, make it the baklava. It's nothing short of perfect. Emilitsa... More

Outstanding food, with great wine selections and friendly attentive service. All at an extremely reasonable price. Tough to get in at times, and totally understandable. A great spot to enjoy some authentic greek inspired food.

In preparation for an upcoming trip to Greece, I enjoyed dinner at Emilitsa's. I visit the restaurant a few times a year but it has been a while since I wrote a review. The food, as always, was superb. I ordered a couple of my favorite appetizers - pita bread with jalapeno/greek cheese spread and chicken livers Emilitsa style -... More

I love Greek food and they have nailed it. We tried an array of appetizers and split the moussaka for an entree. You have to try the Moussaka, we have been to Greece and this is a modern twist on the traditional dish and it was amazing. The baklava for dessert was probably the least impressive part of our meal,... More

A 5 star experience. The quality of the food is superb and the service was top-notch. We came early, I had my 7 year old son with us to celebrate a very special birthday for his grandfather. While I would not recommend this restaurant as great for kids per se, the staff definitely was accommodating and kind (we came early... More
