We made a reservation to celebrate my birthday. It was a Wednesday night so the restaurant was not crowded. We were seated at the communal table in the back, and told that we would share the table with other customers (we were 4 and the table...More

We visited based upon a recommendation and we were delighted with our choice. The décor is very pleasing, the service is excellent and all four dinners we ordered were superior. Appetizers just as good and dessert simply topped off a fine dining experience.

"I'd Call That A Bargain" - The Who. Between the ambiance, the excellent service, and especially the food (always the food.,.quality and quantity) - "It's The Best I've Ever Had" - Emilitsa rocks. And "My Wife" always agrees. Don't "Be Fooled Again" by the multitude...More

What a pleasant surprise ! This is not your typical Greek Restaurant. The menu is focused and the food is delicious. There were four of us. We had the pork kabob, the swordfish kabob and the moussaka. Each dish was bursting with delicious flavors. The...More

As a Greek I know good Greek food, and this place has it, at least as well as American food supply can deliver. But the prices are rather high, and it is easy to run up a big bill here.

There are a few restaurants that are always excellent. Even after many years Emilitsa's still remains in top form. No matter how they prepare fish it is always full of original flavors. Their Moussaka is extraordinary. The desserts are always excellent.

Portland has many great restaurants, but Emilitsa is THE BEST !! Every aspect of the experience makes all the senses hum. The only thing better would be if we were in Naoussa, my favorite place in the Greek Isles. The welcoming owner John makes you...More

Thank you for the kind words. One correction however, my brother the Master Chef has turned over the reigns in the kitchen to his son Master Chef Niko, and he is doing a great job of carrying on the tradition. JR
