Wow. One of the best restaurants we have come across in a very long time and without a doubt, one that rises far above expectation. Emilitsa is in a magical class all by itself and would be in ANY city or town, neatly nestled in...More

We had dinner at Emilitsa in late December. We had called for a reservation but John, the owner, told us they were completely booked this Saturday before New Year. So he said to arrive around 5pm and we could eat at the bar. He later...More

Our good friends brought us here and we had the loveliest dinner. John, the co-owner, was generous and wondeful as was the servers and food. Great wines, great food, and wonderful, cozy and elegant atmosphere. A must.

This is refined Greek food, subtle and excellent. We shared an appetizer of sikotalcia tiganeeeta, sauteed chicken liver,s that were prepared so deliciously that we forgot they were high cholesterol and loved every bite. I had the moussaka which was ethereal...managing to be both light...More

Emilitsa is a Greek restaurant located in the arts district of Portland, Maine and boasts a contemporary and casual atmosphere.

Emilitsa brings a wide array of Mezethes (small plates), Megala Piata (large plates), and pristinely fresh seafood to the seacoast area. We honor the breadth of traditional cuisine from all regions of Greece.

We prepare our Greek dishes with as many local, fresh, organic and natural ingredients as are available to us. We also accommodate those with food allergies.
