I heard about this place from a couple of culinary industry people and they under sold this amazing place. Drinks, food, and atmosphere was beautiful. My wife and I will make this our first choice to dine at when in Portland, ME because fast friendly service and the amazing food. All food was ripping hot, drinks were made properly and... More

What a wonderful find. We were party of 6, haven't seen each other in 4 years and this was the perfect place to share food, share stories and to catch up with each other. Part of our group came early and started with drinks and appetizer at the bar, we moved to table when rest of party arrived. Seamless transfer... More

Two of us came here on a busy Thursday night. We were told it was going to be a 15 to 20 minute wait, ended up waiting 37 minutes. Which is okay but at least be honest about the wait time. Our waitress brought out drinks and appetizers soon after. When our appetizers were dropped she grabbed our empty glasses... More

We ate there Friday evening and had the Cod special and one of the soups. The soup was more a stew and the cod was buried in spices and overcooked. Good service, busy place but at least on this night, not up to its billing as one of the better places in town.

The ambience along with an attentive wait staff was just the beginning of a wonderful evening. Our appetizer of crunchy calamari was delightful. My dish of fried rice and shrimp was divine!

This is more a mix of Thai and American. The atmosphere is very warm and a good escape from Congress Street. Try the duck dishes. They are incredible and not overdone at all. The Pad Thai or noodle bowls have a very interesting twist on traditional Thai. Their sister restaurant is the Green Elephant, also on Congress, for a Thai... More

We arrived and Matthew - the host was very effieicent and gracious. We ended up waiting quite a bit longer but more because the gaggle of ladies at the table we were going to sit at, really enjoyed Boda too. I sort of wish they didn't enjoy it so much, but I can understand why. Most importantly, Matthew was kind... More

I cannot say enough good things about this Thai restaurant other than you will NOT be disappointed. They take a variety of flavors and blend them into the perfect bite sized morsels for appetizers. In particular, the Miang Kum Som-Oh, which was served on individual appetizer spoons. It was nothing short of amazing. My husband raved about the quail eggs.... More

Dropped into Boda just as they opened. They weren't too busy but filled up very quickly. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple beers from their (decent) craft beer selection. We also ordered some Thai wings with pickled daikon and carrots. We ordered hot and they weren't too spicy at all. I would easily go up to 911... More

The Buddha would LOVE Boda, a very hip Thai restaurant on Congress Street removed from the Old Port which, this past week was mobbed due to the influx of those obscene cruise ships that dump 2-3 thousand people in the area. Boda sits around a mile away from this hectic area and the food is great, the beer and wine... More
