Fresh, delicious dishes made to order. No frills decor, but you don't need them. All tables are in comfy booths and the food was great. Homemade chutneys and amazing flavor in each dish. We tried the baingan bharta, dal makhani, and chicken tikka saag w/...More
Average food served in a restaurant that simply does not look clean. Dirty old roof. Dirty toilet doors. A very dated interior. Even if the food was excellent (and it wasn't) you'd worry about the cleanliness of the place.

Piping hot, spiced to our level of pref--I got curried chicken, hot. I've had hotter, but this was my first visit and they don't know me and I don't know them! Savory. Mrs. Reviewer got something less spicy, and liked it just fine...We'll go back....More
Hi Bombay is now the best Indian restaurant in Portland. Under new management, the food is fresh and the service is excellent. We had aloo gobi (minus potatoes by our request), chicken saag and a lamb dish, all done with no dairy. All were excellent....More
