I stumbled across Artemisia Cafe and was wonderfully surprised. It is unique as the group handling dinner is different from the group preparing breakfast, brunch and lunch. I found the dinner on par with any restaurant in Portland and the staff is attentive. It has a genuine bistro feel as shown through its focused menu and interesting yet small wine... More

We came here off of a recommendation and it was worth it! We had a group of 7 so it took them 15 minutes to clean off an empty table to seat us, but not too bad to wait. They offer great brunch drinks and a decent menu, somewhat limited but a good selection. They were willing to make adjustments... More

The reviews are true! One of a kind place! Absolutely loved the homey down to earth feeling this restaurant gave me. I had the kiebalsa hash, and my husband had the frittata. Very delicious and perfect portion size. Definetly would recommend, and will be returning!

I was looking for a quick meal before going to a performance and found this place via Yelp. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the waitress was very helpful. I was early so there were few people in the restaurant. I had an absolutely perfect wild mushroom ravioli with a very nice glass of Gigondas. The following day I found... More

We went to this restaurant for brunch. Food was ok but pricey. I wanted to alert anyone with children that this is not the place for you. My son 6 was simply talking and the owner came out and told us this probably not the place to eat with him. Will never go back

So this spot had great ratings, looked like "locally grown" , Portland spot. The parking was awful. It's Portland. Greeting was warm, I was here for early lunch. Nice booth, sunny. Menu selections were few; OK! expecting great! Not so, the local hospital cafeteria had the same salad , minus the green goddess dressing, which I asked for on the... More

This low key local cafe is slightly off the tourist path. The dinner menu offers a nice variety of interesting choices for each course. My husband and I shared the chopped salad. I had the halibut served with a delectable vegetable risotto. The presentation was Instagram worthy. My husband ordered the chicken saltimboca which was probably the best version of... More

This place is hidden on a quiet side street in downtown Portland. But man, I'm glad I found it. Its a small restaurant with pretty minimalistic décor, not very fancy at first glance, but the friendly service and amazing food make it well worth the visit. I was offered a tasty amuse bouche initially accompanied by fresh bread. I ordered... More

If you can find a place to park, the walk is well worth it. Food is really good, service was excellent, and really nice atmosphere. Worth the walk.

Artemisia remains one of Portland's best kept secrets. The food is always amazing. It is not quick-- the point is to savor the meal, the flavors, and your company. But always worth the trip. This time, we had a group of six who ate across the appetizers menu with joy.
