I ordered the brunch sandwich. It was delicious! The only negative was that the vinaigrette dressing from the side salad had leaked onto the bottom of the English muffin, making it very bitter. My brunch companion ordered the French toast of the day, which was pumpkin bread French toast with goat cheese spread. The bread had not been cooked long... More

We came in as a party of 7... w/o a reservation for brunch and within a short time were able to be seated. That's a plus ... so far, so good. Hostess/owner (?) brought a chair for the end of table and last guest to arrive. Still good! Cute and eclectic decor. Most didn't order a beverage other than water,... More

If you're going to Portland Stage...Bibo is a great choice for brunch, lunch or dinner. The menu is diverse, the wait staff is accommodating, and the price is a wonderful surprise. Like the theater experience itself, lunch before a matinee or a light meal after the evening performance should be a step away from the ordinary-at Bibo's, it is. We... More

So i am generally not a huge salt lover so i taste tested it around the table. By it i mean everything we ordered. First waiter tom was excellent. Second the apple fritters are not fritters they are better. The biscuits were half way between a scone and a biscuit. They were salty. But i still at both of them.... More

I came here recently with a friend for his first time, not mine- though I had not been to dinner here in many years. Under different ownership from the original establishment, Madd Apple is a gem of a small artsy restaurant just off the beaten path. We had no reservation on a weekend night and it was no problem getting... More

This place has been around for a while. It's always tempting to try all the new restaurants in Portland, but you MUST eat here! holy smokes, was our dinner fabulous. The haddock and salmon were perfectly cooked and accompanied by inspired, flavorful sides. The pasta dish disappeared quickly so I assume it was delicious as well. I was not wild... More

We recently dined at Bibo's Madd Apple Cafe in Portland. The reservation was booked online and we were told there were only 2 available times 5:30 or 7:30. We chose the 5:30. We were the only party in the cafe so unsure of why it was so restricted. I titled the review odd because the whole seating and service was... More

We have probably eaten here 10 times in the past few years for dinner and a few times for brunch. I really like that the menu takes some minor twists to add some excitement to your dinner or brunch. This latest visit was for brunch and I was tempted by the "pacos" pancake tacos with corned beef but I ended... More

Small, cozy restaurant in Downtown Portland. The food is absolutely delicious and I'd highly recommend the Apple Fritters. The service is slow, but that's because the food is fresh. Make sure to make a reservation on open table because it fills up quickly and they actually turn away people.
