Blue Spoon Probably the most disappointing and insulting hospitality experience I've ever experienced. Katie, and I don't know if she's the owner, manager or what, should get a new job or at least an attitude adjustment. The skinny: Booked an 8:45 pm reservation thru Open Table a week or so ago Arrived 10 minutes late - apologies (I flew in... More

Just went for lunch! Great food...think local farm to table...prices reflect this, but iworth it! Not a perfect fit for our super picky 13 year old, even though they were more than accommodating!

I've been a few times to Blue Spoon. It's in that "other hood" on Portland's peninsula. I came with a friend for lunch recently, we were celebrating my pre-birthday. The place is tiny, but its cozy. I think there are 8 tables, with semi-open kitchen, bar with 3 or 4 seats and restroom. On this weekday they were busy but... More

We recently were in Portland overnight and stopped in for dinner at the Blue Spoon. It was 24 hours after the seacoast got battered by a huge winter storm... and as a result not only was it an adventure to walk up Munjoy Hill, but there was a water main break which put the restaurant under a boil order. We... More

In this foodie town, with so many restaurants to choose from, The Blue Spoon is at the top of my list. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The service is friendly and the food never disappoints. My goal is to eventually live close enough to walk there😊

Blue Spoon was recommended by Victoria, the proprietress at the West End Inn, and she made the reservations for us early in the week to make sure we could get in. It is a small place, a little off the beaten path, but we are so glad that we followed Victoria's advice! The scallops on the starter menu were absolutely... More

This was our first time here. It had been recommended years ago before we moved here. We wish we had been sooner! The happy hour wine selections were the best I have had at any foodie restaurant in Portland. The red was incredible. At first we were disappointed by the menu because only ONE of the entrees didn't have meat... More

This restaurant is at the top of Portland's rapidly gentrifying Munjoy Hill. It's a small place with an eclectic menu of dishes that you won't find anywhere else in Portland. The wait staff is exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, courteous, and provides quality service. I'm a cheap skate and found the lunch entrée prices to be a little more... More

Very small space, inside seating probably 50 people max. It does have outside seating, but call ahead for reservations. Decent local beer selection, and good but not great food for the price.

As noted in other reviews this is a small neighborhood restaurant. I had two small plates - the mussles and the daily ragu pasta and they were more than enough. My wife had the pressed chicken (really a large portion - we could have shared). Foof all well prepared and tasty. Our bottle of Pino Grigio was well priced and... More
